I guess that shows that Internet polls don't hold much value. Those numbers are actually closer than I expected. 3/2 is not exactly a huge gap.

These numbers are also from major Online retailers. this isn't including the pure orders from in store.

You can Preorder and cancel at Amazon with no penalty. That has to skew data a bit as people are placing orders now and deciding later.

People with internet connection. :rock

People that don't give a flip about trading or used games. :rock

People with man sized hands. :rock

People that don't care if others see them playing video games or watching Game of Thrones wacking to the naked chicks. :rock

I'd think that the mandatory Internet connection would still be a problem for many of us in the U.S. I've had nothing but issues with Time Warner Cable when my modem would sporadically disconnect at odd hours during the week. And they always seem to have an excuse. Weather problems, updates, signal issues, etc :slap

Constant is not exactly the correct term for the requirement. 24 checks are required. Your telling me you have periods greater than 24 hours where you have NO Internet connection what so ever? I can see if there is some sort of natural disaster that can cause a extended outage , but I sure wont have TW if they constantly have 24 hour outages.

You're assuming that the level of service of TWC is the same everywhere. Maybe it's good where you're located, but I've been without Internet for periods of several days. It has happened every year, coinciding with severe weather problems that occur in NYC on a yearly basis. Time Warner also likes to takes their sweet time to get things back up and running again.

I notice that mfoga who has been a strong advocate for Xbox One didn't vote for Xbox One :lol

Nor the PS4. At this point I might not get either, not due to restrictions either. It seems that most of my friends I game with are getting PS4 and I refuse to buy one until a good Xbox style controller is available. Getting a Xbox would be a no brainer if I knew I had friends getting one but if they don't I will likely not get anything. I don't even use my 360 that much anymore.

You bring up a good point about the sense of community for these consoles; besides specifications, DRM issues, and whatever else, that's also another thing to consider. Most of my online friends and co-op buddies are on the Playstation Network, and several of them are also getting a PS4 at launch - so, I'll be able to play with them again.

The PS4's controller is also reported to be much more ergonomic than the Dual Shock 2 that was used for the PS3:

Early data for console pre-orders from major online retailers in the United States show consumers pre-ordered approximately three PS4 units for every two Xbox One consoles during the period between Monday June 10 to Wednesday June 12. While this is not an indication of future purchase intent, it does seem to suggest that Sony resonated louder with consumers during E3 2013 than Microsoft.

:slap :dunno.

I guess some people like rough love.

It will never be ergonomic until they move the left stick. The problem is the controller was designed when games used d pad for movement (no sticks) and instead of changing the design the placed the sticks in an unnatural position. The big difference is you grab a ps controlled an your thumbs when in a natural resting position are on the dpad and the buttons still. Now the Xbox controller your thumbs are naturaly on the left stick and the buttons.

PS controllers are already the most ergonomic ones, you just need to know how to grab them, they way us PS gamers grab the controller it's just perfect, both thumbs rest on both sticks and it's perfectly within reach of the Dpad and the buttons.

Xbox controller is good too but the sticks are too short for my taste, it's just easier to be more precise with dual shock.

It's more noticeable in games like FIFA and CoD where you need quick precise movements.

It's a matter of taste and getting past the learning curve I guess.

But the controller should not be an excuse, the controller is not going to abate your skill.

It not about skill it's about it being uncomfortable. :slap:slap

You must have some small hands, my hands aren't that bike and I have to force me thumbs down to the sticks, which is fine for the right stick as most games you use the buttons way more than the right stick but being forced to keep my thumb in an unnatural position to use the right stick is the problem.

I could only play with ps controller for maybe 20-30 min before my left thumb would ache. This has been the case for years. Once games started making movement using the left stick required on the PS I stopped playing for the most part until the Xbox came with the smaller controller.

I have tried 3rd part controllers for the PS but they all seem to be crap so it just sits there unless its playing a movie.

Plus I'd the Ps controller is so perfect why don't you find any( I have never seen any) ps design controllers for xbox, yet quite a few companies have tired to make Xbox controller for ps?
