yet, except for ND, most games looked inferior on the Ps3 compared to the 360
Since PS3 were given ****ty ports. PS3 exclusives crushed 360 with visuals.

Fanboys maybe, but not the people who really dislike the policy itself, like me. Many of the MS fanboys actually cheering for the DRM are hypocrites as well, they'd be against it if Sony was doing it instead (yes I realize the same applies to Sony fanboys).
Hopefully people who agree will be even more vocal about this if publishers put similar policies on PS4. I still doubt any 24 hour internet check-in will end up on PS4, even for specific games, but we'll see.
That's true. Most third-party developers chose to develop their games for the 360 and then port them on the PS3, and as a result, many of those ports had mixed results, including games Bayeonetta and Fallout 3 (which were practically unplayable until patches were released). Developers cited that programming on the 360 was much easier than on the PS3 - but, it's also possible that they were paid by Microsoft to do it that way (just to chime in a conspiracy theory ).
Not surprisingly, KojiPro was one of the only third-party devs who actually tried to push the cell processor to its limits. MGS 4 wasn't a perfect game by any means, but it was a visual and cinematic masterpiece.
I am hoping developers start using PS4 primarily now. I believe they will sell more systems. If games start coming out half assed on the PS4 I will have to get a One a lot sooner than I want to .
ahem I guess this poll should restart after Microsoft's U Turn ?
PS4 still wins.
Possibly. But at least it's a race now. In the US at least. Blow outs are boring not to mention bad for the business.
Don't the xbox only sell good here not overseas?
Even without the check in, PS4 is cheaper and more available across the world. Xbox still has a mountain to climb even without it.
Not arguing any of that. It's still a much better competition now that MS has decided to fight. They were gift wrapping the whole generation for Sony with their ridiculous policies, but now we will at least see a proper console war..however lopsided it may be. Competition is always good for us gamers. Fanboys may hate the idea of of their "enemy" doing well, but it's what keeps everyone honest...more or less. No one should want a monopoly.
