I for one chose PS4 because of the Xbox One Restrictions .. I do have an internet, but it's not a fast one, and Region lock is also a bother to me because we get a Mix of Regional Games, now that all of these things are away .. the choice for me became difficult ..

Xbox One Exclusive are awesome like quantum break, Ryse .. and I also love the PS4 exclusive like the Order and infamous second son

Great news about Xbox one restrictions being lifted . I just preorderd the ps4 and was about to cancel my Xbox preorder but now i might as well keep both . I love the Xbox remote so much . I must stay loyal .

95% of the world didn't know about E3 or the Vs polls. For rabid fanboys that froth at the mouth at the mere mention of MS , yes the damage is done, for the rest of the everyday, casual consumers it's like nothing ever happened.

The DRM never bothered me. My stance is still the same, I'm not committing to either system until closer to launch and I can get a better feel for it.

Even if you claim that you're not "committed" to either console, you've been pretty adamant in your defending of Microsoft in this thread and others. It must be nice to live in your own little delusion and being able to label everyone else as "rabid fanboys". A classic example of a pot calling the kettle black.

But, I'll just leave it at that...

Solidus since I've been in here between you , snakplisken and a few others it's been clip after clip, picture after picture, troll after troll and a party of PS4 vs XB1.

I was never defending Microsoft just explaining what they had to offer that was positive and since the DRM makes no change to my stance, I still maintain it's all about what both have to offer in the way of software.

I'm in the exact position I was yesterday and the day before that. No doubt you will find something else to tease MS with though. Price? Hardware? Colour of the box...? :hi5: I see you already have in fact.

Who cares? You like PS4 fine, why does constantly lambasting another system make your choice any different or valid? There are plenty neutrals who genuinely want to strike up decent comparisons. It's probably best if you and I don't respond. You have nothing to offer me by way of debate and I seem to irritate you for some reason.

If i was Alan Sugar id hire Solar and mfoga because they do a good job of making **** sound not so bad.

I shouldn't have to put this much thought into hardware. What am I a, a PC gamer ? ...thank you, thank you very much :D

I've only ever used Xbox and assumed I'd buy a 'One' ....and then the announcements caused me to shift to the PS4 ....but now with this backtrack I can't think why I just wouldn't stick with Xbox....

So Glad to hear MS came back to it's senses, now I have nothing to hate on :lol

This is a total game changer.

But I'm still getting the PS4 most likely.

What we were doing was all in good fun. No one was criticizing or insulting anyone for preferring the X-Box One over the PS4 or vice versa. Microsoft's policies are what came under attack not only on this forum, but practically everywhere else around the net - and even those who owned a 360 joined in on the fun.

It just seemed blatantly obvious to me and others that you (and another person) were so determined about doing PR damage control for Microsoft on these threads. You're the one who came here and started throwing around the "fanboy" insults and getting uptight whenever anyone dared to criticize MS and you even brought the discussion in to the Wii thread that I created.

You don't mind the DRM policies, that's clear. You also thought that it was a non-issue that the military would have been left out by DRM. A few members (for god knows the reason) had the patience and spent 10 plus pages trying to argue with you about that - I just didn't see the point in talking to a wall.

In any case, I usually put guys like you on my ignore list - no use even responding to this, because I won't reply. I'm quite frankly, tired of seeing you parade around here and point your finger, claiming to be a neutral observer when it's hardly the case.

Im pretty sure these days most kids have access to the internet and check out sites like gamespot and IGN.
This news also reached the news on the tv, magazine articles, and newspapers.
So even the usual "clueless" parent, more so than ever, probably heard about something about these new consoles.

True, but it's one of those things where I would almost feel weird or embarrassed knowing I own the system that screwed things up so much, then had to bend over for Sony and bow down, just to compete.

Then again, the PS4 is still cheaper and I favor their ideals and games and exclusives more anyway.
I still don't like the Xbox focus on the American guy with Cable tv, Netflix, COD and sports.

Thankfully, Im ok with it. Years from now, we probably won't be talking much about this embarrassing attempt MS. We'll hopefully be too busy enjoying the games both systems have to offer. They swallowed their pride and had to admit that they were wrong about all of this. What else could they do when they saw the whole console cycle leaving them behind. They all make mistakes, but if the console is strong and game lineup is worthy, we gamers are usually a very forgiving lot. No matter how much we like to b$&ch about things.

Good post.

I feel pretty much the same. I don't make decisions based on a product that's not in hand. Not on consoles, not on cars, not on phones. I like to see products in action and the general response.

PS4 could still wipe the floor with XBOX but for those that were concerned about the DRM policy or the check in this is good news.

MS obviously had a PR nightmare here but something tells me this isn't over. I think it could still be rolled out down the line for MS and possibly PS4 depending on how the publishers feel. I think disk based games just don't make much sense in the grand scheme of things.

After all, the initial burst in the first 6 months is where you will gather a lot of the customer base. I think MS have probably woke up and realized this now.

Im not sure what to think about microsoft any more. I think by tucking their tail between their legs and admitting they are ******* its done them more harm than if they had of stuck to their guns and tried to go through with their vision of the future. Now they will forever be the console that tried to **** us over and admitted it. And i dont know how people can show their face who tried to defend the XB1 when the company themselves have admitted they dropped a massive bollock.

That too, but at least the winners here the customers.

Great news on the XBONE front; now, they just need to do away with always on Kinect and the price

This should make fans happy; still going with PS4 but I am sure will buy a XBONE once the price comes down at least $100

You've got a point man. If anything, they've just admitted that their "vision" for the future was flawed. Which negates practically everything of significance that they said at E3 :lol. They'll have to wait until next year to re-explain themselves to the public.
