So I just got my PS3 back from Sony after(supposedly) being repaired.

It wasn't.

They didn't fix it.

It turns on, but it doesn't read Blu-Rays. LMAO. Do they even check these things? Sony can **** off and die. I'll be purchasing a stand alone Blu-Ray player.

I am now officially a Sony hater. PSN...take your time.

Damn dude makes me glad I got mine repaired by a 3rd party. Was cheaper too. :lol

This is a thread discussing how PSN is offline. Did you expect people to post how enamored people are with Sony? :rotfl

That, and the fact that the thread itself is only weeks old, I'm not sure what you're expecting. I own a 360, a PS3, a Wii, and COUNTLESS other gaming systems. I call them as I see them.

I'm sorry if my dislike for them as a company bothers you(i.e. gets your panties in a bunch), but perhaps if they actually FIXED the system when I SENT IT TO THEM, they wouldn't draw so much ire.:rotfl

I'd only recommend 3rd party repairs if your warranty is already expired. But, yeah, there are lots of cheaper places, especially on Ebay where you can find people who'll do it for just a modest amount.

i can understand the guys ill feeling towards sony if he sent and PAID for it to be repaired only for it not to be

regardless of console, any other dude here would be pissed and if not then imo you're a liar

I'd probably be cheering for they're downfall. :lol

https://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/05/14/ps3-system-software-update/

We have been working on a new PS3 system software update that requires all PSN users to change their password once PlayStation Network is restored. The update (v3.61) is mandatory and is available now.

If using a PS3, your password can only be changed on your own PS3 (or a PS3 on which your PSN account was activated), as an added layer of security. If you have never downloaded any content using your account on the system, an email will be sent to the registered sign-in ID (email address) associated with your account when you first attempt to sign-in to PSN. This e-mail will contain a link that will enable you to change your password. In this email, click on the link and follow the instructions to change your password. Once you have changed your password you can sign-in to your account using your new password.

We strongly recommend that all PSN account holders with PS3s update their systems to prepare for when PlayStation Network is back online. The release of this update is a critical step as we work to make PlayStation Network significantly more secure. Thank you for your continued support and patience.

hope so. I'm not scared about the data loss. People find more about you when you enter raffles.

For some reason, nothing came up about changing my password. It won't let me use the forget password function either.
