You’re speaking on your behalf, not Asia’s.

It’s about licensing fees and profit, that’s my point.
We haven’t seen an ‘89 Keaton Batman from InArt because it simply isn’t profitable for InArt and their homeland.

This is why we won’t see old properties revisited, they’re ineffective to Asian collectors whether you’d like to admit it or not.

They will only have success with properties post 2000. Which is exactly why they’ve only attempted to put up characters post 2000 for PO.

You will never get anything before TDK regarding Batman from InArt.
Yeah, this point I can stand on, it is quite sad that the only ips that are profitable for many 1/6 companies right now are post 2000s ones.
I've heard from many livestream interviews from inart on how they were excited to visit a ip that was never been done before, but the project was still on going, imagine that it might have been a ip from the 70s or 80s, but licensing and profitability might have been the issue of it not pushing forward.

Yeah I’m not set out to hate InArt for no reason, they’re simply late to the party with limited access to the market and a weird business strategy to top it off, the QC issues just mount on top.

I hope they don’t go under, as I’d like to see more realism in the hobby besides custom work, but they are really shitting the bed now. Bootlickers need to wake up, they’re not delivering what they promised.

People are clamoring for a 2.0 Ledger because their well has clearly dried up.

Yeah, but still I have some faith in inart on making some decisions going forward, maybe we'll see a comeback of 80s and 90s ips. At least the T-800 project is a start.

I think the conversation has been muddied at this point, but you were talking about two different things: INART and also Asia’s feelings (or lack of nostalgia) towards older IPs. These things aren’t mutually exclusive.

Cause I agree that INART is more likely to focus on 21st century IPs they have licenses for.

You also have yet to acknowledge that they can’t do Alien or other Disney owned IPs because they’re Disney and not because they’re 70s/80s.

They may tease a T-800 from T1,
doesn’t mean they’ll go through with it.

You have to see it through their lens,
they make these prototypes to gauge interest, nothing more. This explains all of the canceled projects they’ve had to date.

To them, if an IP doesn’t peak interest in the homeland, it should be scrapped immediately. If they acquired the Robocop license tomorrow, do you actually believe they’d produce it?

There’s only like 20 people clamoring for a 2.0 Ledger that are on this forum lmao. The majority isn’t. The well hasn’t dried up. The problem is that they just take forever with production output.

I have the Inart 1.0 and would like a better version, though with the The Hot Toys new version, and so soon after the 1.0 release by Inart, does it make sense financially for Inart or any company to put another Ledger into production at this time?

The fact that The Mouse™ has a stranglehold on Alien is incredibly disappointing. I would really like to see someone else give a go at the license. Not really satisfied with any of the currently available HT offerings stock.

No, people are actually upset that the InArt Ledger has become so dated, so quickly that they actually want InArt to try their hand at it again so soon instead of just upgrading to a better available version. That thought process goes beyond this forum, you know that.

Ledger Joker is what put them on the map. You say people aren’t clamoring for a 2.0, but the people that still defend the 1.0 would jump to the new 2.0 immediately just because it’s made by InArt.

You’re in every thread calling their competitor’s products cheap toys.

I’m certain you’d PO InArt Ledger 2.0,
sight unseen.

It gives the impression the well has dried up when they’re only eight releases in and talks of another Joker is on everyone’s mind only one year after its release.

We never know what they’ll actually commit to producing, therefore any hope in a tease of theirs falls flat. People were excited for Reeve Superman despite its rough appearance, just because of who was going to make it. Placing InArt in a light where they can do no wrong and “it’s just a quick prototype”. Well, where’s the revision?

That would mean they go back on their word. They said 2.0’s are not their thing, wanting to put out a rounded out, complete, final release with each figure they make.

That would make people hesitate to purchase from them. Imagine you start collecting their LOTR line, they get six figures into the Fellowship then all of a sudden, they start making 2.0’s of the figures you just bought. Now they’re releasing upgraded 2.0’s alongside 1.0’s of figures they’re just getting to under the same line.

How many people would go out of their way to commit to an entire LOTR line, to then only upgrade them all in a few years at these rising prices for each?

A 2.0 Ledger might help them financially at first, but in the long run could really hurt them if not enough time passes by. Especially if there’s a drop in production from prototype again. They need to put out far more product before they start to dig into their catalog of characters they’ve already made.

I completely agree. I must have misread the comment you made previously that I made that reply to -- replying on my phone, while on the go. I thought you were saying that they should release a 2.0...

Again, it’s an incredible small minority who's saying that, based on Aybaig’s (EDIT: DiostaR) information about the rumored INART Ledger 2.0.

I’m a simple collector. If there’s a better version of the same character design I want, I’ll upgrade. So yeah, I’d upgrade to that. But this is all speculation and you’re making it seem like everyone is clamoring for it. That’s not true. No one on FB, Insta, and YT even consider or discuss a prospective INART Ledger 2.0. It’s only the small minority here on CF. Not representative at all of the larger 1/6 community, so no, it doesn’t give the impression that the well has dried up. This is what you’re failing to understand. The majority honestly do not want to see another purple coat Ledger Joker and are actually clamoring for other characters for INART to make, the no brainer characters that complement current characters or other important and relevant characters from other WB IPs.

You are basing your whole argument and outlook on INART on a rumor/speculation, and you’re jumping the gun, talking about cancelled figures and insinuating that they won’t go ahead with updating Reeve or whatnot. Why do that before waiting to see what actually happens? You’re entitled to speculating all you want and if you want to portray them in a bad light as you like to do, by all means, but what’s the point? It’s how I read it and it shouldn’t even be worth others’ time, but I get it, you’re a staple in this small community. Your thoughts on any other forum would largely be ignored.

You really think they’d start to make 2.0s of Fellowship members before completing it? Oh my. What is this take? This speculation is too unreasonable. Too much.
