I find their polling idea to be quite amusing. If Queen were really so interested in exploring licenses outside of Marvel/DC/Star Wars, then you would think they would have already made a few statues or busts from some of these “fan favorite” licenses. What have they done really though, just Alita?

As a few implied/said, I believe the "polling" is nothing more than to generate buzz, hype, interest, and to promote their group/branding/presence by using the easiest and quickest method resulting in the idiocy or possibly idiotic genius unfolding.

Perhaps, there is a method to the madness they started?

From Dusk Til Dawn Snake Dancer...?

Last of the Mohicans, and rooted hair would work nicely for most of them lol

Maybe, yeah. Pretty sure they'll do a follow-up with the most iconic license options -- and they really don't need random Facebook users to tell them what those are. Of course, any overlap between their list and the users' will be marketed as QS listening to fans.

Nothing like reading and viewing what they posted/voted on themselves and being proud of themselves believing they're so clever.

I know it will never happen but I’d love to see a LeeLoo figurine. I’m so sick of the same characters being pumped out Year after year, it’s so boring.
Hopefully Queen deliver some obscure characters once they establish the new line with all these “been there done that” releases.
Yeah, Ledger Joker has to be one fo the most "high-end collectiblized" characters of the past 15 years. Beyond other scales, surely there has to be dozens of 1/6 custom head runs, not to mention the seemingly 30+ Hot Toys versions.

Would be nice to see a few characters that haven't been done anywhere from several times to ridiculous numbers of times, but I guess popular = $$$.

So visit that group to check the poll and then have the realization to sell off/trim down one's collection.

Your post echoes views made by others.

Perhaps, it's time to embrace the fact our 1:6 days are numbered and it's counting down faster than previously due to changes within the 1:6 hobby in varying aspects.

Perhaps it is that the hobby is passing me by. It has been a fun ride of several decades, though. I just feel that it has reached a point, for the most part, where I don't see the return being worth the investment. (The cost to enjoyment quotient.)

There are still some lines that I find worthwhile and "reasonably" priced. EXO-6's "Star Trek" line, Asmus's "LOTR" line, DiD's "Saving Private Ryan" line are just a few examples. I will say that lately I've gotten more enjoyment from a good number of 3rd party figures than from some of the heavy hitters in the industry.

I too have gotten more enjoyment from primarily non-licensed/non-mainstream 1:6 figures/offerings over the years.

Then again, what criteria dictates a 1:6 brand/manufacturers having a first-party and a third-party designation?

In the end, we all collect what we enjoy and periodically bicker about trivial matters and some legitimate/valid topics about the 1:6 hobby in varying degrees and intensity.

As the famous song by Kansas goes . . .

I sent Queen Studios a Facebook message asking if they were going to put up a second round of polls and they said they'd pick the entry that has the most votes after filtering out the irrelevant ones. I don't know if they mean to say they'll pick only the very top, although even if they do, I assume they'll explore the runner-ups in time.

At the moment, the top five [relevant] entries for '80s are:
Batman '89
The Terminator (this option was added by Queen themselves, so they must be optimistic about being able to pursue figures as well as statues)
Indiana Jones
Star Wars
Predator / Dutch

Demand is definitely there for Burton Bats and Terminator. Everything after those will depend on how easy Disney is to deal with. Just below Predator sits Alien, another Disney-owned property, followed by Ghostbusters.

For '90s:
Batman '92
Catwoman '92
Terminator 2
The Matrix
TMNT '90

Nothing Disney here.

If QS are as committed to these polls as they want us to believe, it looks like they'll start by rounding out some long-unfinished lines from Hot Toys. That's certainly worth celebrating, even if it means more superhero fare.

Terminator and Burton Bats is fine with me.

I'm in for whatever 1/6th Batman Returns they make.

I'm likely in for a new Terminator.

I might be in for '89 Batman and Joker... but those two of HT's best work. My guess is, Queen could top it though. Just make a good hat for Joker and you win.

Vote is open for 2000-2010!

Tobey Maguire Spider-Man in the lead and Queen themselves added him. Next relevant/non-redundant entry below that is LOTR Gollum, also added by Queen, followed by Gladiator and Davy Jones.

Now Gladiator made me cry too, but uh... if anyone wants to add to the Davy Jones slot, that'd be real cool. :wink1:
