The only parts I enjoyed in IB were the ones that had CW in it. Other then those, the movie didn't do much for me and that's saying a lot since I enjoyed all other QT movies.

my favourite is still pulp fiction slightly over IB but django could easily be his best.

i also didn't care about Cohen i don't thank anybody did but Russel i thank everyone cared about him it really sucks he left.

I really hope they don't replace him with Michael Madsen. The guys as flat as a bored nowadays, couldn't stand him in Kill Bill Vol.2. Of all the suggestions I've heard, Michael Beihn sits the best.

Hrm. . .I would have to say that QT's best film is Jackie Brown. But IB is great. Opening scene pales in comparison to the opening of Once Upon A Time in the West, though.

While Jackie Brown is my least favorite of his films I completely agree with you about the opening of Once Upon A Time in the West.

i love the opening of Once Upon A Time in the West but the opening of IB is much better.

Much like Inglourious Basterds before it, I painted a different picture in my mind, in this case a sweaty southern gothic story. But once Christoph Waltz shows up in his carriage with a giant tooth bouncing back and forth from the roof trying to negotiate a deal with a slave driver I began to get the tone… All the location work makes the film look huge, Foxx is at the top of his game it appears, Waltz is loveable, funny and dangerous all at once and it just feels like everybody is having a blast.

Opening scenes of IB and OUATITW are totally different and therefore make it hard to compare. One is all dialogue, the other doesn't have any dialogue. Both are badass.

Apparently at least 2 people. Maybe the movie makes a point to say that "The D Is Silent" during the intro for some reason? Maybe it was a line in the old western (I never saw it).

As with all movies, I'm gonna try not to get up in the hype train about this one. But it's tough not to have expectations when QT is at the helm.
