I'm not as concerned with the color of the poncho as I am with the size. It seems a tad too small. The movie one was really big and draped over him, hanging down to his knees, and with just enough room for his fingers to poke out the edge. This one seems to barely hit crotch level and shows a lot of sleeve. Still, nothing to get upset over... :D It's "just" the exclusive, and a nice bit of clothing for a 12" figure. Now, if he was a PF, I would expect an exact duplicate...

Agree, it needs to be a bit longer and mabye a bit tattered on the edges. It also looks like the dark trim is screen printed on there and not sewn on as on the prototype. I hope it drapes the body like it does in the movies.

Then again, that prototype could change.

I think the drape/hang of it is due to limitations with size and weight. The fabric is just not going to hang the same way at 1/6 scale, unless they used something like silk. They have to decide between approximating the appearance/texture of the fabric or the behavior of the fabric. Using a really thin material like silk would drape and hang properly, but wouldn't look like the heavy material used in the film. There are a lot of limitations and tough decisions to be made when scaling down clothing to this small size. Easier said than done.

I think they could make it a little bigger, but it would be tough to make it drape and hang like the real thing at such a reduced size. At 1/6, it just won't have the nice drape and "swish" seen in the above picture.

jlcmsu, those tools aren't worth wasting your time with. They just want to bitch about something, either sculpts, hair, eyes, paint or if a figure comes with clothes made from dirty bedsheets.

Well, just because they complain they aren't tools. It's just that when the complaints come out as Shame on SS or they are screwing us it makes all SW fans look bad IMO of course.

Frustration is all part of the collecting hobby, but I like to see people voice it in appropriate ways. "I wish Sideshow had done it like this instead..." is way better than "Sideshow is stupid and should be ashamed of themselves and WE HATES THEM... WE HATES THEM FOREVER!!!"

I agree 100%. Maybe they will change it before production.

Exactly!!:D Just be sensable about it and things go much smoother.

I'm not as concerened about the size of the poncho as I am about the color. The SS Poncho looks gray or slate blue, it should be a taupe color. Happy they are using a tall body and the edition size is quite large, 2000, so most everyone will get a decent shot at securing an exclusive. Great job overall!

LOL, the color doesn't bother me too much, but the size does.:D It was discussed earlier that the color was actually more of a bluish gray in real life. As Tom pointed out the poncho needs to be larger. Right now it's barely reaching his thighs when it should be going below his knees and past his arms.

Yes, the color and more importantly the size of the poncho should be changed! When my girlfriend saw the picture of the 12" Qui-Gon with poncho earlier today, she said it looked like a handkerchief! And she is right too! Damned, as if it ain't hard enough to defend this hobby...

Sorry, guys, I think it looks great. And that with the photography being what it is...

I agree, ****ting on a figure isn't the best way to make a point, the way I see it, it looks really good, the poncho couldn't be too long otherwise it will look weird on a 1/6th scale. Yes could the color be a little off, sure. But I think it looks awesome. I am glad to have had the opportunity to order one. After all it is still a toy, right?

Why is it the wrong fabirc? It looks great! It sits well on the body, looks sturdy and thick, the weave is tight: what's so off here?

Nothin. Thas wut.

thick is the problem. it should be a thin linen type material. :monkey1

No, I don't like this Hasbro figure. Not as much as I like Sideshow's!!!

The sculpt is the most important thing to me, and the SS version is far superior. And I don't like Barbie doll hair, either.
