Yeah, it's the same with the DX Batman. Some have the abdominal leakage while others are fine. Luck of the draw, I guess. I can't complain though because this is an older figure now.

Well the Batmans are different, for one, I think they've all now leaked, but also, that was a defect from production.

This Rambo figure, I've read stories like this one where over time it's broken down on some people, but there's got to be something environmental to it, if the rubber were faulty, I would think they'd all break down, but everyone's displays and storage are under different conditions so it seems natural that varying levels of heat, moisture, etc. will be present and some will cause breakdowns and others it'll be fine.

I don't generally worry about HT rubber figure longevity because I've got cheap rubber toys from childhood that are as fine today as the day I got them, over a decade old, and in theory, HT should be working with stuff that can last equally long, at their prices there's no excuse if a $20 toy can outlast their products.

On the reply page just click on attachments (the paper clip icon) and you can browse files to upload as thumbnails.

And yes, Batty, it hurt me just to take those pics.:(

ah, simple. i had always used the "insert image" icon (the one with the little mountain and sun) right below it and never used the paperclip. thanks!!

Sorry to hear that dude, looks like you got yourself a Rambo 2 from Hot Toys there,i have had in total 4 of that figure, why`?Because that piece of ____ muscle body is the worst crap i have ever seen,my first 3 cracked under the armpits and on a couple of places on their forearms.Now...i learned my lession not to pose this figure ever again besides arms straight down and not bend them in any direction, ever since i got it it has been posed the same way...and for no reason,i found a pretty big hole on his forearm that wasn`t there before.

This is a common problem with that figure, while the rest of the Rocky and Rambo`s never had that problem, and i have done some extreme poses with my Rambo 3.

This is a figure i hope they re-release at some point,to make up for the muscle body problem.

Yeah, me too. I grew up in the mid '80's and First Blood II was one of those iconic movies. I will try to do a body swap but damn that scarring made the figure!

Damn and I was just looking at a HT Rambo today. Did you have him posed?

I've had no problems with the Dutch rubber body but hearing these 'horror stories' makes me worry. I'm most worried about my DX Batman since the oil has come back.

I've had him for five years and the instructions specifically say not to pose him. I planned on having him a long time so I never posed him. He just stood on my shelf holding his bow. I don't want to deter anyone from buying. Maul Fan has a Rambo and had no problems. It's just a case of buyer beware.

It's this reason that I sold off my muscle bodied HT's. Too risky for the cost...

I would have to say it's something environmental as well, or a combination of things. Dust maybe? Dry air? Was the body ever treated with anything?

I have one that I bought from it's previous owner in Brazil. It was in a hot, humid environment there and here, he's boxed up and in storage (environmentally regulated) and I've been checking him about once a month. Mine doesn't have these issues. The body's a little "clammy" but all the rubber bodies are like that. I wish we could figure out what causes this. :(

I hate to hear this, mine was fine last time I checked a few months ago. I hope they never use rubber bodies again, they're nothing but trouble.
Also, I know HT is constantly improving so this won't deter me from buying another muscle body in the future. This was their first try.

It's not their first try, It's the second generation rubber body. The first gen. was used on a few figures and also had tearing and cracking.

Those are good suggextions. The only issue is that Rambo had unique scarring that is represented on this particular body.

The body was also used on Rambo M60 First Blood, Rambo III, Drake From Aliens, Navy Seal M60 Gunner, and the Private Military Contractor:

I don't know if the skin color matches the original though.

If ya can't find one of those, the Rocky body (also used on the Predator Billy Sole Figure) would work, but it's missing the scars.

No it was not the same body used for later releases,i have never had any problems with my Rocky and Rambo figures except Rambo 2.The M60 and Rambo 3 bodies might look the same but it is definitely not the same poor quality,

People...no need to be concerned about later Muscle Body releases,Rambo 2 was the only one that had these issues, the rest are fine,i should know because i have plenty of them.

I have heard stories of this and Hot Toys doing a reimbursement for new figures that had rubber problems. Worth it to shoot them out an e-mail to see if they will give you some sort of credit.

^^ For a 5yr old figure?! Doubt it...

So you're saying it's not worth an e-mail to maybe get a credit? As an established toy company, Hot Toys is very big on customer satisfaction and they know they had a rubber problem on earlier releases. A friend got a credit on a 4 year old Alien so why not give it a try Mr. Doubting Thomas? :dunno

I bought the HT Rambo II fig used three years ago. It came from a guy who smoked and smelled terrible for a while, about a year ago I noticed a little hole by the right bicep, people are going to laugh but I put some body moisturizing lotion all over the fig and the stuff actually works. The body doesn't have that rough and dry look like it did when I got it. I didn't pay much for it so if I ruined it, it wasn't going to be a big lost to me. This fig was a project for me. He just came with pants and boots, so I had to buy the Box, AK47 and arrow all separatly on Ebay. This fig only cost $65 when it was released, I wasn't in the hobby then, but if I payed todays prices I be angry with the quality. All in all it's a very nice fig. Just don't pose him! and you wont have a problem.
