I would really like to see Snyderman's sculpt painted by Nathan....and compare.
Doesn't look like Mia will be done I guess :-\

Well we haven't seen many pics yet, so I wouldn't rush to judgment. But beyond that, even despite the flaws you aren't going to get higher quality Pulp Fiction figures (talking total package here of sculpt/clothing/accessories) anywhere. And this is one of the most important movies over the last 25 years. So considering that, I think this set still has intrinsic value, even if it doesn't have the kind of aftermarket value that may drive some into collecting Rainman figures.

Its a shame I picked these two to break my Rainman-hymen.

Why is it a shame? You shouldnt have bought them if you didn't like them
Thanks for those pictures Marlo! You have me pumped for my H&C set! Aeon did another bang up job!
Buying due to reputation and resell value is never a good idea and we were shown pictures before hand haha...
I bought them because Rainman has an excellent reputation, because his figures generally have high resale value, because the quality of the sculpts and accessories are top-notch and because I love the movie.
Turns out these happen to be the first figures of his in recent memory that have 'flopped'. I still want Jules and Vincent in my collection as a representation of Pulp Ficiton... I just could bashed together a set from Snyderman sculpts, Nathan paint jobs and available suits for a fraction of the $1300 these ended up costing. So a little buyers remorse.
Hmmmm so what your saying is Rainman's standards dropped as soon as you got on board with his work . It's official guys its all Wakes fault!
LOL. NO... I'm saying... it's my dumb luck.

Look guys I appreciate the thoughts... but I feel the way i feel... it is what it is. : I dunno what to tell ya.... im disappointed. I let the excitement of buying my first Rainman figures, and owning the pulp fiction pair, get the better of my judgement. Im likely going to keep them... but thats mostly becuase I doubt I can get back what I put into them.
Yes - thanks for the pics Emarae - can't wait to get my H+C set. I think you pictures suggest that I will be nothing but pleased with this H+C set.
I like that Wake admits that there he is willing to dish out $$ for a RM piece because of the reputation and because of the resale value. At least he is direct and admits it and that's good. Too many people claim that they collect only because the like the figure, when in fact, in 1/6 customs, a lot of it is the exclusiveness and perceived value (stemming from the reputation and set price point) of the figure (in addition to the quality of the piece of course - but don't tell me exclusiveness and perceived resale value means jack ****e because all us RM buyers dig that whether you admit it or not).
