I think had I not had a high quality bash of Vince and Jukes for a little while, the simple elation of having two figures I've wanted for a decade and half would have been enough to make me happy wth the Rainman offerings, but the fact that these two were done and by Rainman is not fact enough to make me happy with the offerings. Yes standards are high these days an no artist or company hits it right every time, but these are two iconic characters I feel that continually get short changed so I can't help but be disappointed by the fact they are not up to the usual Rainman standards.

Hi Raymond

Regarding being a bit disappointed:

I just got my Jules and out of the box I notice the shoes look odd The way it flair out . When I look closer, I realized to my surprise the left plastic shoe was on the right feet and the right shoe was on the left feet . Boy, did anyone get their figure this way ? I wonder how it could have even went out this way . :( there were no QC check on the figure ?

Overall, I am happy and I also took his head out and attached a new adaptor making juiles now have a neck

Cheers

Man I just am sitting back staring at Vincent and Jules and am extremely happy, Pulp Fiction is a bad@ss movie and these guys are bad@ss characters and now I have both of them standing in my Shelf and they look so pimp haha, just like with Vince I am loving Jules more and more every time I look at him, very happy with these two!

I hear ya, man! I feel the same way!:yess:

Anyone else has their Jules sculpt with the eyes painted looking up?

Some pics I've seen today seems to show him looking straight ahead...,could be camera angle...just curious.

Well for me I think it looks great. I'm really pleased with the head and really the whole thing. Would have been great to get better shoes, but as a whole, I think its a win. Sorry everyone doesn't feel the same.

Wow, you blow that first pic of him up to full rez and he still
looks fn b a d a s s.

:clap :clap :clap

Nice pics Robbie.

With Robbie's brief case and burger bag, I think Jules will look great. Robbie interested in making an accurate burger =P?

I'm the same way right now. The more I look at them both together the more I get that "mission accomplished" feeling. I got Pulp Fiction up on my shelf and with Robbie's briefcase it will put this over the top.

These figures always seem to switch hands the first few months and then.

I love these Pulp Fiction figures! Being honest... I did not really care for the Jules headsculpt before Rainman went back and altered it. These guys together just seem to look great and make the Tarentino fan in me smile!

That said... has anyone figured out how to secure the drink/cup into one of these Enterbay hands? And is the straw supposed to be very loose?

My straw is loose, think it just sits loose since its not like you are going to turn it upside down haha, as for the hand holding the drink, my FS Jules left hand can hold the drink fine but I have to force it alittle bit and im scared of messing up the drink decal so right now its sitting on the stand base.

I'm going to use Robbie's nice pic and a Q&D photoshopping to illustrate why I was pushing for a real hair or at least a change-o hair option. Photos angles don't match up exactly, but pretty close and I used the right eye as size reference. While it might not have solved everything, personally I think it could have made quite a difference. Wonka was done with real hair and is now hugely sought after. Can any of the experts let me know if the hair is easy to separate? I may pursue this on my own once it arrives, or pick up another head to have experimented on. I've already sent this pic out to one customizer for a quote.

Its an odd sculpt.. its obvious who it is supposed to be, but its off. I think its the face. Should be thinner

Yep, you've put your finger on why the likeness is off... it's in the face :lol

I think it looks a dead ringer for Samuel L after being stung in the face by a bee.

Talk about a sick package day! Bateman, Jules, a s__t load of parts from eBay and my Air Max '13 :lol. Sha-weeeeeeeet!

Couldn't really dive into the hood from Inglewood today. This was a whole lot of Bateman and a lil' bit of girlfriend night.

I took a quick but thorough look over everything though. There are parts that fall very far from what you'd expect to find in a Rainman Artworks box. There seem to be upsides too. As soured as I am about several things, I'll dedicate time to this guy tomorrow and give him a fair shake.

That's so funny, my chick said the same exact thing.

She's a worse critic than I am and she was diggin' Jules out of the box. Her pep talk kept me in the game today. Bless that woman's soul

So if the hair piece comes off. Why not convince Robbie to make another one with a higher fro? :monkey3

I'm game! :lecture

Still really pi__ed I have to take this figure apart and mess about with it so much after nearly $900 spent! I am sorry, it's just unacceptable!

For once I agree with Turbo, for the first time with Rainman, I actually feel disrespected.
