No one is "jumping on" you. But if you are seriously suggesting in a customs discussion forum that there should be no discussion or "picking apart" as you call it of the customs that are presented I'm not sure you'll get many on board with that notion. As a Rainman newb I suggest you look back through the old threads of his previous releases. If it weren't for the constructive critiques and criticisms of the members here several improvements and additions to the figures would never have been made, whether a fabric change for Tyler or Willy, an additional coat for Tuco, a missing knife for Bill, Narrator & Tyler 2 dual sets, improved sculpts, etc. Or take the most recent example, Vincent's watch. The first version was incorrect. Should no one have mentioned this or pointed it out to Rainman in time to be corrected (which thankfully it was)? Was asking Rainman if this could be corrected "demanding" or "tearing his work apart"?
A dialog between artist and customer generally produces a much better, more accurate end product, which is what most of us are about. Look back and you will see Rainman has always welcomed his customers input and advice, from initial idea, to reference pictures, to prototype, to final figure. Sometimes he is able to improve things, sometimes not, but after 4 years of his releases and a couple dozen figures each with an accompanying discussion/critique thread, I think the process is doing okay.

Like I said its my first rainman purchase im no expert and im pretty new to this forum thing, im just a collector who is happy he is making figures I want that no one else does and better than anyone else would. not trying to cause a ruck just wanted to state my view.
sorry for bump but anxiously waiting for the new tweaked reveal! I ordered and paid on day 1 of public FS release and am happy with that sculpt but am still very excited to see if it will improve! No rush but anyone close to Rainman have a new eta?

I'm guessing not.
I still think it will be revised, I don't think RM would have told DM that was the case if it was not true. I think RM is busy, he's been sparingly replying to me as I've been getting him his book and we have been coordinating. Someone else said he's doing art for a restaurant that's opening. And at least he's not rushing the sculpt. after the lukewarm to poor reception the first sculpt had you can;t blame him for being hesitant to rush it out there.
Like I said before we shouldn't expect a major overhaul, hopefully a few tweaks that really hits key in some areas is something we can hope for.

(I know I'm late to this convo but I've been meaning to chime in)
He's not jumping on you brother but what he's saying is true. As fantastic as many of the customizers and artists are here, for some reason there are many times that details get past them; that's where all of our suggestions come into play. 95% of the time our suggestions result in improving the final product.
Not everything is always put as delicately as possible but the large majority of people giving their suggestions are fans of RM. No one means to disrespect him and as we vhime in with suggestions, we speak from a fan and supporters' standpoint. I'm not talking about Shadow or whatever other relentless bozos that have came and went; I'm talking about people who buy and/or appreciate his work. But there are two sides to that coin. Our loyalty and patronage should be equally respected and appreciated
Well Mags said that he agreed that eyes could be improved and that sounded like it was confirmed. The way Mags referred to re-revealing the sculpt sounds like changes were underway to me

Last I heard the sculpt was at the casters and Rainman was waiting for it to get back so he can paint it up.

I hope neither is true. It would be messed up if he just brushed our concerns aside without some communication and I'm not really a fan of surprises.
Haven't been able to reach him in the last few days. Sorry for the lack of updates.
But what's the word Mags? Just to clear any confusion, the current status is he's making changes and we're waiting for the re-reveal, right?

If he said he was making tweaks I would have thought he will make them. Whether he shows any images of them is a different matter. This release is becoming a little bit silly in my opinion.
As far as I know changes were being made. As to how drastic they are I have not gotten an answer on that. Waiting just like all of you.
