I'm hoping that's not the approach he's taking. That would be extremily bad business in my eyes. Plus these aren't even sold out so the balance of what's left is weighing on this re-reveal

Been there for a couple of weeks me thinks will probably stay there until a revised sculpt is shown tbh

I grabbed one of the available FSs a few days ago, swapping out the H+C. Did not want to end up regretting or scrambling if a new HS is shown that blows everyone away. Also didn't want to worry about tracking down a body or a bad MoFo wallet. Pulp Fiction is one of my favorite flicks and Vince is one of the coolest pieces in the collection. Gotta have both of the boys displayed together.
That's cool man if you went FS on Vince would make sense to do the same with Jules. Really hoping the revised headsculpt is gonna blow us all away as well. Just hope RM hasn't checked out on this guy yet and moved onto starting Bickle already.

Wouldnt want a jules that towers over vince.
I wish we knew where he's up to in the process. If the outfits aren't tailored yet maybe we can all kick up $20 more each to have him grab the KOs. If we pay for the KOs it's not like he's losing money because he bought the EBs already

Tbh I think Jules is probably well on the way to being completed so I'd imagine Iris will be well into the tailoring process. It's a tough one when he arrives I'm gonna try the outfit on a few bodies see how it looks I fear the outfits gonna swamp them tho due to the size of the EB bodies
. Also worried about what kind of shape the body I get will be in those Agent J bodies are horrendous for QC issues

I spoke with Rainman a bit tonight. To be honest, he's a bit upset with the way everything has been going down lately. He told us he would tweak the sculpt and that's exactly what he did. He made changes at the same time that he made the cup, but hasn't had the time to get online much.
The head is being cast right now, so he's just getting everything finalized. The jokes about drama in Rainman threads are funny, but at the same time, it is actually true and all those dramatic things make their way to Rainman and puts a LOT on him. He puts his heart and soul into these releases and always gives his word, and meets every promise he makes. There is never much to worry about in these threads until things blow up, which puts him in a strange place. The more faith we put into him the easier things will be. He works very hard inside and out of the figure community and does everything 100%, every time. I think we need to trust him on this one and wait until he receives the castings back.
Anyways, I think that's most of what I got from him when we talked. Just give it time and he'll be back with updates that will make everyone happy.

Rainman might like to get together with Serang and compare notes on how to deal with the customer base. While Serang provides updates on his work, I've never read a single Serang thread where folks start putting in their two cents. Rainman inviting and responding to suggestions in the making of his works is a two-edged sword unfortunately... on the one hand he gets to make changes to make the set more accurate and appealing, but on the other it leaves the door open for a rush of criticism. Tough one.

TBH, I think it just comes with the territory, being top dog, or top of the heap, whatever cliche you want to use.
Velvet Morning posts WIP shots, and there's never any drama there.
Though with Serang, he just posts when he's done. He doesn't show WIP stuff, so no one ever has a chance to offer criticism. For whatever reason, people understand and accept that Serang has a style, and so does Rainman, but people want Rainman to be realistic, but don't understand that that's not Rainman's style.

Serang has been focused on more historical figures as opposed to movie themes figures which have a lot more references than Van Gogh or Beethoven.

I've been talking to Rainman, and he is definitely bumped out, the negative comments and criticisms did take a toll on him. He is actually afraid to come into this thread or his threads and read the comments, on top of that, there is a certain language barrier that I bet also makes him misunderstand things.

A lot of people have been rude with their comments and pushy with their suggestions but Rainman can't forget about the rest of us that are still here supporting Jules and anxious to see what we have purchased, the fans greatly outweigh the nay sayers.

I was wondering when Rainman would finally get fed up with this art by committee approach.
Yeah, despite some trying to say things the right and tactful way, there's just no way to get around the fact that the negativity has outweighed the positivity for this release, and this kind of thing is in general just getting worse with Rainman's releases for whatever reason. This simple fact has got to weigh heavily on the guy, irrespective of the attempts at tact and motivations/intended effects of these comments.
The language barrier may mask some of the attempts to couch criticisms with an air of respect, but he probably still gets the gist of the comments, which is what really matters anyway. If the intention is to tell the guy that he's not doing a good job, and he receives that message on lots of different fronts, it's gotta sting.
To ajk, we're always free to send him messages of support when we see others say they are sending him messages with suggestions of changing his behavior.

Oh he hasn't forgotten about the rest of the collectors, he is going to show the new sculpt with the fixes soon (did not tell me when), he wanted to go to the resin factory but didn't have the time to, as he was busy with other stuff.
My post wasn't calling Rainman out by the way, not saying you or anyone thought that Johnny haha just want people and Rainman to know that his work is still greatly appreciated and I am very much looking forward to my FS Jules! Sometimes people need to realize that this is ART and though art has some guidelines it can be perceived any way the artist wants it and people are allowed to disagree but that doesn't mean for them to be rude and/or demand changes to the artists vision. I may sound like a Rainman fanboy right now but screw it! I thoroughly enjoy his work!
