No, definitely nothing can be assumed. So to those who have his ear on this, make sure the message gets sent early on! Don't assume that it's a detail that he'll notice and address himself! Sometimes he let's certain things slip thru the cracks as is but I'm even more concerned with the slight change in certain ways that he operates lately.

Whether he'll be able to address this or not is another story but as long as the concern gets to his ears ASAP, at least there's hope. I wish he would start getting more into body mods to further enhance the fig. It's something that Beto does for almost every piece and the figure shines because of it. RM's package is stellar of course but putting an amazing sculpt with top shelf paint, top notch tailoring and accessories on the same base body over and over is a bit generic for this price point. The hobby is starting to evolve past that old cookie cutter way of customs.

Modded bodies would be nice but what would the head and clothing guys do, think that's why he doesn't mod bodies because he always offers H&C sets and clothing sets and those clothing are going to be tailored to a specific body and if its a modded body then there's problems for non Fullset people

Yeah, being a Head/Clothing set guy, I would prefer the necessity of body mods be kept to a minimum. If it's something that enhances the figure but doesn't require a completely custom body for the figure to look a'aight, then fine (padded bodies for example). But if you're talking shortened calves, bulked up traps, and other stuff that you might see Elvis or TonyMeis do, then I would vote against it. Keep in mind that Rainman sells 35 fullset/DX sets, and 30 outfits altogether as part of outfit or outfit+head combos. So I don't think he can ignore those who buy to bash.

Yup this is true. But the mods I'm thinking of aren't drastic. If it's a matter of a fat suit then that would be included in the H&C's. I wouldn't think that anything else that has to do with height or exposed forearms or anything of that nature wouldn't be any harder than the mods that H&C'ers already have to do for some of his shoes.

Without a mod the EB is going to look bad next to the HT bod, the clothing won't fit a shorter body so the H+C sets will look bad too. lose lose.

If the EB is modded shorter it's possible a standard (non AA) HT TT or other body could work as well for the H+C set. win win.

I think it can possibly be done with some modification or removal of the longer ankle joint. But I'm going to trust Rainman's expertise and discretion.

This is truth. I can see what H&C guys may be concerned about in other situations like we've mentioned but in this instance it would benefit everyone if the body was modded to be a little shorter (1/2").

Unless.......

..... it's only a matter of using shorter foot pegs. Of course a mod wouldn't be necessary if that's the case. IDK anything about that body but maybe someone who does can chime in and give us tighter specifics :wave

The goal I believe was to use a slimmer AA body. Apparently he has already acquired the AA EB bodies so now it's a question of making them look right compared to the HT Vince body.

Ok, body comparison time. Despite the height difference, the EB is surprisingly close to the HT in most proportions. The arms, hips, chest and legs are all really close. It's the abdomen that's much larger on EB and accounts for almost all the height difference. So if Rainman could mod the stomach piece, we're good I think.

And I was just thinking, Rainman's been modding the bodies with chest pieces for awhile now so this shouldn't be that big of a deal.

An abs part then. Not sure if its easy enough to take off and replace though. Anybody ever tried taking apart the EB body?

Good comparison pics btw, entropy. Thanks for that. :)

Awesome comparison bro. So everyone can basically see what I meant now; the EB has a solid 3/4"-1" on the TT.

The legs on the EB seem to be longer but that's actually probably perfect for Jules. I see that little extra length in the mid-section. If that can be cut down, that's where he can find the 1/4"-1/2" that we're looking for.

And good point about the custom chest piece. I wasn't even thinking along those lines but technically he's been doing body mods for years. Not that this is exactly the same but he has experience with altering the body is my point.

The EB legs are longer but with the longer ankles on the HT it's only by a small amount, the bottom of both sets of feet are close. Not sure if that shows in the pics with the angle of the camera.

The ab section has 4 screws on the back which are easy to remove.

One thing I'm not crazy about is the back of the EB is wider and more muscular than the HT. The HT arms stick out more at the shoulder so from shoulder to shoulder they're about the same width but the EB torso is thicker and deeper than the HT one. Jules should be thinner in the chest than this. Perhaps a clever custom chest piece can correct both the abs/stomach height and this increased chest muscularity?

If a new EB torso piece is required, which I believe it is, that's one more accessory in an already accessory heavy release.

How soon do you guys think it'll be before Jules is up for ordering? I'm not used to his release schedule or frequency. After Vincent gets shipped?

Oh really? Man, there needs to be a rainman FAQ posted somewhere haha. I'm looking at getting another custom figure or two, but I'm worried it'll cause me to not have enough funds ready for Jules and the painted headsculpts

Budget accordingly :lecture

Have Rainman funds ready first and then save up for everything else.
