OK, so I compared Vince's gun to Barney Ross' and Royce's (Predators). Not only are they the same exact size but they are so identical I wouldn't doubt that Vince's gun is a recast of the HT .45 with some little tweaks added.
So I apologize if I started any hysteria with the small gun talk, I was wrong. With the flood of super heroes that's been rolling in I haven't posed/reposed a dude holding a pistol in a quite a while so I forgot how this particular gun fits in the HT hand.
Next time I'll do a little more double checking before flapping my gums
I realize things look different in real life as opposed to pictures. This looked the same in several different pictures from different people. I learned a long time ago to never take anyone's word on what 's good and isn't when it comes to collectibles. This isn't a knock on you personally. I've just bought too many things based on rave reviews to find that they were not to my personal liking. I also realize I'm not adept at practicing what I preach. I'm trying to work on that.
I didn't take it as a shot at me at all brother; I hope that you didn't think my reply was a shot back. That wasn't my intention and this is all good convo, not an argument
There's nothing wrong with being a fan and liking particular artists’ work. It's only natural to want to defend them if you are a believer and supporter.
My thing about texture is it takes away the toyish look. It's just another technique for added realism. Of course likeness is a more important variable but the best sculpts out there have both likeness and texture. I don't think that the pores are meant to be in true scale as that would be pretty impossible to pull off; again it's just a technique so the face doesn't look like.... plastic. Also the pics where the texture is most apparent are usually at least 10X bigger than the actual sculpt. When guys like Robbie are using there super sexy high res. equipment, their camera will always pick up things that are much less evident or sometimes totally unnoticeable in person. Also there are a lot of things about these figs that aren't in true scale and would look ridiculous if blown up to 1:1, but it works in 1/6.
There will be a lot of nonbelievers because of the simplicity of the outfit. But that's all that Jules and Vincent are... they're dudes in black suits

. This release is for true fans as only people who love the characters and movie can see past the plain outfits. For what they are we're still getting a RM quality release. The suits still have to be tailored, right? So whether they're pink, orange, blue, brown, white or blonde (see that?

) the same work has to go into creating the suits. I know that there are other suits available on the market but IMO (and no offense to those who went that route), none are on par with RM's suit, shirt and shoes; the tie should've been full instead of the elastic neck but the tie itself is good material.
I'll say again the biggest things that threw this set off (aside from the lack of planning) is not including the brief case and the book should've been bound properly. If you add that you have a solid RM set of accessories:
Brief case, gun, watch, book (better quality), dork clothes
