AJK and I don't always agree on certain topics BUT he brings up yet another thing I thought about when those price points went up....but again...my fandom is letting me get over the logic side of my brain....I just hope it goes up soon so I can shut that part up and be stuck with the bill....

It definitely has me second thinking the DX, while the Trike will be amazing and Danny will be great, it just doesn't add up.

Yeah I mean I do love the Shining, and Torrance is an automatic buy for me, am I a big enough fan for the twins... no, for Danny and the Trike sure... but at what price, if Danny and the Trike is more than a Rainman Full Set then really I'm buying 2 Rainman Full Sets from the same movie but only really walking away with 1 and a 1/2 for the price of two.

Hey, some folks were arguing about the rarity and special-ness being detrimentally affected by the open-ended sales strategy. Maybe adding that one component that is way more expensive than the rest is a way of catering to those folks who want something fewer people will have. Cheaper regular figure, and open ended so many more can buy, way more expensive deluxe figure many fewer will justify. A win-win in some ways!

Man this is killing me...., I'm not sold on that Danny at all and I hate to say that because you can tell a lot of work went into making it but for $1230 the math just doesn't makes sense. I wish we had an option just for the trike.
This is an area I never expected to pass on.....Damn.

The good or bad part is that this sale will set a new benchmark and will possibly set a trend for the 2.5k milestones for future releases. The way I look at it is "2.6k" for shining is not that important for me - for brba I had bought the 2.3k dx (cause I spent 5 yrs enjoying it and so did my wife) similar on GBU - but hopefully if rainmans next release is something that I just love - movie, character, both - I may rather shell on that than shining. I mean it was a great movie but really not like my top 10 so to justify 2.6 to my wife - seriously I will be a dead man!

the stuff he has showed so far is like awesome so realtime shining fans coupled with rainman lovers it's like too good a release.

However just Danny and trike for 1250 is a huge bomb! (I don't want to get beaten up for saying it but well just gonna speak my heart! )

Man my minds all over the place because if Danny and the Trike are too expensive and I just want Torrance then why go Full Set if there is no exclusive, yes Rainman's paintwork is awesome, but let's say $300 difference in price for H&C set vs Full set for Rainman Vs Aeon paint when Aeon is really good as well and a knockoff body. Not much reason to go Full Set over H&C haha.

I cannot believe how fast Rainman put this project together it took longer for me to get a new hat for my broken sculpt then to sculpt and paint all these figures

HA @ Lokhota...kinda puts everything in perspective huh?.....ok...logic has asked that if you RM whisperers can have a talk with RM (lee, master lee, or whatever name you guys want to give him) and see if and this is a very big "if"...he can give something else with Danny because apparently, logic wants that damn trike so badly but is not giving in on the pricing difference between the main figure and danny...

usual rainman releases BIll + 1:1 eye and wonka + 1:1 ticket, .... I am gonna buy the full set and then am gonna buy a 1:1 trike! So that ways i will have Jack + 1:1 trike dx
