Since you had to ask, IMO Yes... I never did like Rainman's paintwork, seemed too what can I say, stylized to me (eg excessively green/blue eyes, skin tone sometimes a little too perfect etc etc).
After seeing Messi's head in my hands I can safely say Iminime's paint is as realism oriented as possible, which I prefer...

So end of the day it all comes down to preference of a certain style, I do not like excessive stylization in human characters

I like it. I'd get one, but am afraid that it will kill me when I am sleeping.

Well, You've convinced/commissioned Rainman to make you a popular figure only available to you and you've managed to upgrade your Bill with the Proto hat (you know, the one with the slightly better blue radiant on the ribbon) and switch up the jacket (you know, that rare Rainman weathering) so I'd say semi retired is a good move since your
playing that trying to prove a point "card" more than anything else. Cheers to you my friend, you've played the game well!

Firstly I commissioned a figure that you guys had plenty of opportunity to speak up and say yes that would be amazing make it happen. None of you did! Not until you see wip shots that you all start spitting your dummy out the pram! Utterly childish!!!

Secondly I did buy the bloody version Bill to keep but I had to sell it in the end. If the buyer was willing to buy it the way I sold it what difference does that make to you?

Waiting on invoice for the Sev7n set, cant pass on that. Great price for an amazing set of figures.

I wonder what impact it will have on Rainman's fullset's if he uses Iminime long term for his painted head and clothing sets.

I could see Rainman's paintwork being better than DF Studio, but for my taste, Iminime is a couple of notches above Rainman.

I know Teddy is 100% into Rainman's stylized paint, but not sure how many others are.

you know i was thinking exactly the same thing myself earlier. some people have mentioned they like everything to be done by the same guy, to have a full rainman custom. that will still be a selling point for the full set. i'm sold on imimine's paints for the head and clothing sets though.

I love Iminimes paint work from what I've seen. Although Rainmans paint apps will always be worth more.

Not only that but at what point is it expected for Iminime paint apps to be just as good if not better than Rainman? Then at that point, why have an upcharge to be painted by Rainman?
