Actually got my shipping notification now.

I don't think there's anything wrong with comparing artist, as long as it's in a respectful manner. Like some said, some people are willing to pay the extra dollar for the full Rainman treatment. Some prefer other artist to paint their head. Being a Rainman fanboy, I don't mind paying a little extra for the full sets AND and extra head sculpt for my favorite painter to paint. Which is the route I think I'm gonna go from now on.

Rainman doesn't do any tailoring to my knowledge.

Well you would know, but the tailoring on his figures is definitely one of the biggest draws to me personally, whoever this person might be!

Comparing art/style is one thing, but comparisons based on an artist's pricing is in bad taste, imo. I remember Kato's Ledger outfit thread, all the debates which were more like virtual fights. There is a thin line in sharing and imposing your opinions on others and more often than not, most people end up doing that to prove their point.

Anyways, guess such discussions are bound to happen, else the board won't be interesting. Looking forward to my head&outfit set!

Me too!!! I just got my Hot Toys Black Suit Spider-man in and I dont even care about it now that I know I'll have a Doc in hand within the next week or two (praying no issues with customs).

What company does Rainman use to ship? Is there a way to track the shipment? Also, On average, how long does it take for something he ships to hit the states? (sorry for all the questions....I'm just super excited)

From Rainman's website: All the shipping is done with EMS

This will be my first from Rainman too, but as far as I understand, when you get a number like this: EGxxxxxxxxxKR, it means its an EMS/Express Mail package from Korea, with the last two letters denoting the country code. It should be trackable on the Korean postal site, but then once its scanned in the post office, the info will be up on USPS tracking too. Not sure about the timeline though.

Oh absolutely, I wouldn't disagree with that!

It is one of the main reasons why I am pretty much Rainman exclusive because I have come to expect such high quality tailoring amongst other detailings.

I just got a complete set and made payment through PayPal. I guess someone let their order slide. I can't believe I got this piece. I have been watching this thread daily and checking Rainman's site daily as well. Persistence paid off, or at $445 maybe not Anyway, I am very excited to get this piece.

Do you guys get an e-mail notification when something ships? I have to manually log-in to see the tracking information (same happened with my previous orders).

Yeah I never got an email notice, but when I log in, I see that my order is shipping and has a tracking, wierd.
It's on the way, that's all I care about!

Tried checking in the Spam or Junk Folder? For some strange reason, all the mails I get from Rainman end up in my Junk folder. Don't know why; even after making his email ID as 'Not junk' and stuff.
