Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

The neckerchief doesn't look as good as in the proto pics. I think it needs re-tying

Anyway, I ordered a pair of the Explorer boots for Doc. What should I use to paint them black? Would a brush and some black paint do?:lol

Sorry for the poor pictures. I spend all my money on these figures and
have a cheap camera.

I had to buy the head/outfit set to see how iminimi painted it.
It is really good, but Rainman really nailed it. So glad I bought the full version.

Thanks Rainman.

So, besides the full set, you bought the head/outfit set just to see how iminime painted it? You could've bought a nice camera with that money? :duh

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Figures look great, RM did a sculpted neck on this one? Can't remember him doing that before.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Finally got around to opening this guy. It is simply SPECTACULAR, and got the bonus tin cup package to boot (thanks Rainman). Really looking forward to seeing a Wyatt now. I've never assembled one of these, so before I give it a shot is the HT Truetype narrow TTM18 the right body for this? Also what do I need to do on the head?
Thanks

Yes, is exactly what I'm using

Rainman posted a tutorial for the head mod. And here it is:wave

I stated that wrong.

The way iminime was being talked up I thought that this may beat the Rainman head. Thats why I bought it.

I almost bought the iminime HS also, because it was talked up so much. Looking at the Fullset Doc pictures speaks for itself :)

I think the DX head has the best paint job of the three. The red around the eyes, the excessive sweating effect and the full eyes really make it stand out.

If only there was a way I could get my hands on one.......:monkey3

I wish Rainman would offer up his DX sculpts separately, unpainted. That way the DX owners would still have that Rainman paint job but everyone else would have that second display option.

I know you would like to get one, but I really don't think that's a cool option.

The unpainted heads are $50 anyway, so an extra $150 for a rainman paintjob in order to get the DX really is not that bad.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I'd love it if rainman did a few more sculpts(newly sculpted Alternate expressions) of Doc to sell separately( I know that is not how he normally operates but it would be cool) With all these new tailors on the board we have plenty of options to get his other attires so alternate heads would sell very well! He wouldn't have to paint them either , just offer the raw casts and leave it to the buyer to have it painted.

I can think of loads of alternate looks he could offer, the drunk piano player (Two guns, one fr'each a yea) with the exposed fringe (bangs) would be my top choice!

Yeah I realise it's out of the question but it would do great for head+outfit buyers, who can't even afford a full set let alone a DX set.

Like how he sells unpainted and painted (by iminime) casts on his website:dunno

Did you not read all of my post? I went on to say Newly sculpted with different expressions.

:lol fair enough. I too would love to see that but it's highly unlikely, unless he did a V2 in the future........

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

How many are in agreement that the NEWLINE 1:6 SCALE LEATHER RIDING BOOTS in BLACK are the most accurate for Doc?

That's what I have purchased for mine. Got them in and they are great. I should have sculpt and clothing set in by end of next week hopefully.
