Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I prefer Rainmans paint job. It's still really good just not as good as I had hoped.

That's the reason for getting a fullset or dx.

You are not going to get the same paint job for a lot less money. If that was the case then everybody would be buying a clothing set and a painted sculpt.

You can always buy the clothing set and unpainted sculpt and send it to your desired painter?

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Good point:lol Still a little dissapointed. I don't know many custom painters and most likely the cost would be through the roof. I still may pick one up one though.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I have four painted heads from Iminime. You will not be disappointed. Rainman has been art-directing them for some time.

Man, I just noticed how rude my avatar is. I gotta change that to a nicer bear.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Hmmm.... Now when you guys talk about it, I can see some major difference between these two. The non-Rainman one has a higher hemoglobin level too, his cheeks looks reddish. Maybe he's eating his vegetables and fruits I guess. Nevertheless, he looks good. But Teddy's suggestion is better, go for an unpainted one and get it painted by your choice of artist and the way you want to.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

That is still a nice paint job, I'm considering going for the head&clothing set in addition to a raw sculpt.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Problem with Iminime paint job is their is too much eye shadow around the eyes. Way too dark when compare to Rainmans job.

My advice: Painted AND Resin. Best of both worlds. never know, could always commission a paint job from the king himself:lol

I think the non-Rainman still looks good. They just need to cut back on the reds and it would look much better.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Rainman's is an absolute peach of a paint job though. Can't wait to see this daisy in hand :panic:

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Since Rainman took notes on his paint, will he direct the same comments that people are stating here towards the painters that are painting this particular head set?????

What body would be recommended to use with this set? Narrow TT? Any other companies or bodies found on eBay that would be suitable for this set?

Thanks for the help in advance. Im new to this world of 1/6 customs.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

You can't really go wrong with a painted sculpt for $65, will also try and get the resin in hopes for a surfer paint job.:)

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Funny thing is I had Denny's painter in mind for painting my sculpt I couldn't get Nathan, glad now this is who Rainman decided to go with, and there are 20 painted head and clothing sets so I think we should all be fine!:)

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

New painter's paint up looks superb.

Rainmans is far superior but, you get what you pay for eh. Both stellar but Rainmans always have more likeness shining.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Exactly. Really looks great to me.

Think the problem is, people are comparing it to rainmans paint. Which is completely unfair.

Rainmans paint is obviously superior ( it would want to be given the price) but when you factor in the value for money you have with Denny's sculpt you can't beat that! and I was always impressed with there paintjobs from day 1!

Corrected :) Was just looking at that, if Rainman would get the sculpt painted with some tweaks under his supervision, it will be an awesome deal!

..again you can't beat that price!
