Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

So this figure is tailored to a TT Narrow? Thinking I better buy a body before the outfit arrives

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

No that wasn't me. Armysoldier74b reserved an outfit set for me. I picked up a painted head back when they first went up for sale

Advice: Stay away from this thread! I have a feeling seeing everyone else's pics will drive you insane:lol

I'll survive. I have other projects I am waiting for :panic:
I'll make a video of my display case when it is all done. I am thinking sometime in July/August. Hopefully by that time I'll have Pee Wee too :yess:

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Pardon my ignorance, but I need to ask this. Was going through The Dude thread and came across this tutorial. Wanted to know if we need to do the same with Doc's narrow TT, as in are all Rainman headsculpts like that and need this workaround?

I guess since Doc's headsculpt already has the neck, we might not have to. :dunno

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I'd imagine that would only be necessary for just the figures that have the custom chest.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Yeah, my impression is that this Doc will have no extra chest piece, so, assuming the neck is drilled for a Truetype, the foot mod is the only thing you should need to do. There is a similar tutorial picture that Rainman made about it. Very simple.

On a related note, I'm curious about how different the neckless DX Doc figures will look vs. the necked versions once they are finally shipped out. . .is this the first time Rainman has had sculpts done differently this way for a release?

Unless I missed something I believe all versions have necks.

I guess that's true, now that I see it. Don't know why I thought the DX was going to be neckless, but it is probably because he was talking about putting a magnet in the head for the DX set, which is typically done with figures that have no necks attached. But it could be done just as easily with the sculpted neck version.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

No worries Rainman, hope everything works out for you.
As much as we're excited to get this masterpiece, Quality cant be rushed so take the time that you need.
Take care of yourself first, everything will work out in the end.

Oh, no problem with the metal cup. With your superb paintjob, it will look like metal anyway...and much like the gun, it will probably look even better anyway since resin miniature seems to look better than metal. I'm sure it will look great.
Hope everything goes well with you man. :)

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I am fine with the cup being resin, your work will look amazing no matter what material you do it in.

Hope this month is less stressful for you than last month.

The people who cast his Head Sculpts are moving locations and might move to far for him to continue doing business with.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Wow sounds like a hell of a month!

If there is a delay then no issues with that as far as I am concerned.

As for the material change that does not bother me in the slightest.

All the best Rainman.
