I think evil dark spirits will be involved in this project, we are opening a gateway to Satan himself . This figure will be surrounded by curses and bad luck . RAINMAN needs to have a priest bless his workshop before beginning this project.

Zero interest in Exorcist and it seems the majority shares the same sentiments. To me this is better left as a small commission rather than a full run as there is only a loud few who have given approval. With the selection of cult characters getting smaller, I understand not everyone will be happy with future selections, but it should be one where there is at least a strong interest.
Still Rainman is the deciding factor and if he ultimately does go with this I will be happy for the five people getting it and it's money saved for me.

Whatever he picks, I would rather see Rainman go with something he had a genuine, personal interest in doing over serving the wishes of his customer base, broadly defined. Whether that means Marge, possessed Regan, or even Shirley MacLaine from Terms of Endearment. In other words, I hope that he is simply asking for input in order to get inspired by an idea, not to poll the masses for the most popular choice. And that's been something I've advocated for a few years now. But the business decisions have seemed to trump others in Rainman's recent past, so I would expect that trend to continue. And based on that, if he could read this thread, he would probably be second guessing an Exorcist release at this point. Not sure what would gain him consensus support, though, seeing as how collectors are all over the place in the things they want. The safest bet would be going to the well. . .again. . .with something like Bill V3, or Alex V2.

Oh c'mon. The Exorcist isn't exactly some ultra niche subject. It's one of the most infamous horror films ever made. Probably second only to Hitchcock's Psycho in notoriety. If there was an actual interest thread up for it, do you really think there would be only a meagre handful of people backing it?

Just caught up and as I was reading thru, I got really pumped at the first mention of Regan. I was so focused on Duke that she didn’t even come to mind. Reading on I see that Lee is really leaning towards her!! . Reading on… she has less support than Marge . What goes on man, this is the Exorcist people!!!!



Plus she’s not that bad once you get to know her. I hung with her at Jersey Fest and we got along famously

I haven't watched the movie in years, either, but it had a big influence on my childhood, also. Another similar kind of set that I would love to see done in 1/6--Gizmo and Stripe from Gremlins!

I’m not usually into a lot of the lighthearted fare, but this is something I’d be all over. Problem is, they’d just be tiny statues. I can’t imagine much (if any) articulation at this scale.

I don't think there was enough interest in Marge (though I hope Rainman ignores the detractors there and does it anyway--if he thinks it's a good idea, then he should go for it!). If only she secretly cut the heads off of children and ate them, she would have been a near unanimous choice!

I was actually contemplating PM'ing PopCult about doing just that. Maybe get like 5-10 on board and fund the commission to be made. Although, to be honest I do believe Duke can attract a full release crowd - so perhaps waiting a year until Lee finishes next couple projects is a better idea?. who knows.

You know I’m 1000% in for Duke but stuff like this has caused meltdowns in the past. There are a lot of us in for him and he has a good shot at being a regular release, I think it’s smarter if all of us who are interested just have a little patience for that. There’s a larger community to think of so it’s best not make waves with things like a private small run. A large amount of interest surrounds Duke so I’m sure he’ll have his day. My fingers are crossed for him being next

I am going to take a bath in Holy Water after reading this thread! You guys are toying with spirits and demons , have you guys ever heard of the Exorcist curse? This family of 5 in 1997 made an exorcist doll for a hunted house and they were all found butchered up and the doll was sitting on the toilet dropping a real life deuce, peanuts and all. His two next are potentially practically set-up (well, at this moment, he's leaning)... he's made mention already he would like to do Marge, Regan and Old man Dracula. Those are the three he has bantered about for next 3 potential releases... he could bypass any of those, he could hit up all of those. Nothing is set in stone. Just like how Mia was a potential, and just how Ringo was a possibility. Heck, even Amsterdam But those 3 have been already marinating.
