but that doesnt count as a masterpiece, that's just like some random custom project, IMO:monkey3

:lol

sorry, mate. You are 100% wrong on that one.

I suppose Kojun also dabbled in random non-masterpiece custom projects. ;)

uhmm how about you just chill out and wait until someone more informative here post the pics? the guy's name is just hard to remember

...sigh...

Please don't disrespect INAE's version of Tyler. thank you. :)

sculpt is looking good, although its lacking those 'bad ass' tyler expression. Although I prefer rainman's paints, more in style with what HT has been doing. That paint job reminds me of those sideshow SWs, shiny and toy like.

Costume isnt accurate at all! And I cant believe he didnt include those red tinted frames.

I think Rainman could do so much to improve on this figure.:peace

Posts like this are exactly what I think Rainman wants to avoid and why he wants to respect what his fellow artists have done in the Korean customizing community by not duplicating their work.

constructive criticism mate.

I think its a bit shallow if you think you are disrespecting someone, by doing a similar version of a character.

So does that mean that the korean artists who was involved in the godfather projects in both HT and EB doesnt respect one another?

:huh maybe zuno or rainman would care to explain. maybe it's to avoid comparisons about which is better or worse. maybe it's a respect to not one up another artist's work. maybe it's just a matter of wanting your piece to be unique from those done before, that you are breaking new ground.

Again, while they're both 1/6, I believe these are a different beast than mass produced companies' fare. These are on a much more personal artist to artist level.

I'd love to see a finale version of Tyler from Rainman as well, but this is what zuno said when I asked before:

Thanks friends~

We greatly appreciate your participation.
Your choices are almost same with me... :lol

By the way, unfortunately, He won't do the figures what other Korean artists (Kojun, Inae, Jihun, Yuli, Arnie, Serang... ) have done before due to respecting each other in Korean figure artists' society.
Please keep posting your choices if you have any other ideas.

Thanks a lot.

A bunch of us then asked if he could make this version instead and he has delivered big time... so far.:monkey3 :D

I think I know where you are coming from, but then again have you looked at or got a HT (not sure bout EB's) godfather yet? try reading the leaflets that were included with the HT don set.

I personally think that HT and EB are in a different ball game, than the average mass produced companies, like sideshow for example. They clearly writes down the sculptor, painter etc on the box. E.g its not just a watchmen comedian, but a yulli sculpted comedian, or a kojun connor etc. Unlike sideshow's 12" star wars for example, that just clearly states it as "Han Solo".

I guess if its his choice, then there's nothing we could do, but my point is that I just dont agree that its being disrespectful by making a similar character from a movie (that doesnt even require any licensing rights), just because another artist /customizer (what's the difference between an artist and a customizer anyways:confused:) has done it before. But I respect his choice and lets not get too OT here :duff

That sucks, snake!

But worst case scenario, you could still pick up those painted head/sets right?

I can see myself getting a few painted heads, might even make an aldo, just in case HT screws it up again :lol

I also do hope rainman would include us those 1:6 (although if he decide to give us a 1:1 scale, thatd be sweet!) of those red tinted, oliver peoples frames :rock

:( Yeh, hope so anyway. As long as I can at least get the clothes/HS set I will be content, but really would love to try for the full set.

May get an extra head for an Aldo too, because it almost seems HT have scrapped theirs. Taking FOREVER!!

^ what ma man, snake said.

I guess only zuno has the answer. And also, do they normally follow US time or Korea (Seoul)?

I hope its Seoul time, since it'd be easier for me as I'm in asia :rock

I hope it will be late in the night/early morning for UK time, as I will have more of a chance of being able to try and get one.

Guess zuno will answer another of our many queries when he can. :)

[Fighter1999 News]

Rainman finished to paint the head sculpt for the prototype... :horror
The last picture is just for effect to look the battle damaged head.
I don't know he would paint the damaged head version yet.

Thanks,
