Yeah I saw Stallone multiple times on the Demolition Man set in 1993 and he appeared like a shrunken down version of himself - like everything scaled down by 10%. A very weird thing to see for the first time. I'm 6' and Stallone was really noticeably shorter than me, like by at least 3". Saw Seagal at around the same time (visiting set) and he was big.

It's funny how Stallone looks HUGE in Rambo 4 and 3, but next to people he looks tiny. :lol

New international/Spanish trailer. All new footage. It gives away some spoiler kills.

The scenes look a bit cheap to be honest. The acting too. It looks very TV/straight to video quality. :(

I fear the trailers have shown all the action in it. Girl goes to Mexico, disappears, he goes there, hurts a few people, gets beat up, goes back home with or without the girl, bad guys show up, big battle, the end. I think the film is only 1 hour and 35 minutes, so it could be fine, but still, my expectations are so low...damn.

Also, I was hoping this film would at least spark some new merchandise from the old films, but so far not a gawd damn thing. Not even Funko Pops. :gah: If the film sucks, at least give me some new merch from the good movies. :dunno

Ah yes the ole Netflix cheap tv quality digital filmmaking.

Remember the 80?s when even cheap ninja movies used film, grant it 16mm mixed in at times, but at least it was still film. Oh well that?s why they created film grain filters.

The whole premise just seems silly with the entire cartel on US soil just to go after for one person.

The cartel won?t even do that to come get El Chapo lol

Oh, is that what is? No wonder Nolan and Tarantino are so against digital.

To be fair, El Chapo is much taller and imposing than Stallone. :lol

Actually i?m being unfair to digital.

Done right with appropriate lighting and filters it can still look cinematic.

This is actually official from Lionsgate studios. :lol

It's kind of odd (and cool) that they're embracing the cheesiness of the franchise...I guess? I don't know what to make of it.

Interesting interview with Stallone in Variety a few days ago about how angry he is he doesn't have any controlling ownership in the Rocky franchise (despite earning tens of millions.) Had no idea how bad - and long - his 90's/early 2000s career slump was (fired from his agents etc.)
