ESB (Stands the test of time the best of the OT films)
ANH (Just a hair below ESB thanks to the leisurely pace, mainly during the Death Star escape)
ROTJ (Jabba's palace and the final duel/space battle are awesome, but that second act in the Ewok village is a drag)
ROTS (Terrible movie, but at least it's more watchable than AOTC and TPM)
AOTC (Terrible movie, but at least the arena fight/clone battle and Obi-Wan/Jango scenes in the water city make it more watchable than TPM)
TPM (Un-****ing-watchable!)

I really liked ROTS but I can understand why some don't but mostly everyone agrees that Emperor was the highlight. I do prefer his portrayal in ROTJ and they may have made him a little OTT in ROTS but he was still the best thing about the PT.

Two things I do like about the prequels now that you mention it are him, and McGregor as Obi Wan. Despite often having bad lines, being stuck in bad stories, and having to interact with bad actors a lot of the time, both were very good in those roles. Both had major character shifts--the Emperor going from the public persona to the evil bastard he really was, and Obi going from the assistant Jedi to the full on Jedi master--and handled them both very well IMO.

Bravo kara. That was done wonderfully from PM through AOTC and all being revealed in ROTS.

ESB for sure. Although I don't want to give back all my ROTJ toys as those are my favorites.
