All My Sons (1948)

A film I had never heard of. Great character study. Makes most films of today look like lifeless storyboards. One of the most complex and realistic movie villains I have ever seen.

Rating:35mm!


In Theaters:

Indiana Jones and the blah blah blah (yeah I know, my Avatar was based on a whole set of expectations)

Rating:16mm -Good for wasting an afternoon in class. No surprises including his you-know-what. Less fun than Temple of Doom!


Ratings: wait for the beta tape release, 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, 70mm+

Steve Carrol is great and brings his own take on Smart.
Hilarious scene in the Jets bathroom with a mini crossbow.
Bill Murray and Patrick Warburton make cameos and leave you wanting more of the 2.

Quantum of Solace - not sure what to rate it. Liked it less than Casino Royal, which I give a 9.5, but it's still a pretty good film. Has some special moments, but didn't care for the way the story was told. Just wasn't any weight. The consequences of the villian succeeding didn't seem dire. Having said that, Daniel Craig kicks some major a**. He's a sloppy killer in a really, nice tux. He doesn't act like he belongs or is entitled to be at the fanciest of places, but you can be damned sure he's gonna get in. I think a 7 out of 10 is fitting.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno 8/10

Movie was f'n hilarious... I was looking forward to it, but worried that it would be a let-down. But Kevin Smith delivered on this one. Great balance of humor and 0ver-the-top nastiness. Highly recommended!!!

Just watched this again on DVD. So damn funny. Downey Jr. is brilliant and he's in character during the commentary, which is hilarious!

Gi Joe the movie (1987) - I just rewatched this today and it was pretty funny. I was surprised that Burgess Meredith and Don Johnson were voice actors in it. It didn't stand the test of time very well, but was good for the nostalgic factor. I would have to give it a 5 out of 10.

I was only able to watch the first 20 mins or so...but was it just me or does this movie start off REEEEAAAALLLY slow? is the rest of the movie like that or does it pick up?

Rest of the movie is the same. I really enjoyed it, but definitely not for everyone.
