:exactly::goodpost: Absolutely love this movie!

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I watched this again a couple days ago, because it's so weird at face value.

I'd give it a 7.5 or so. I think my original was a 6.

Agreed. It is such a bizarre film. This was my first viewing and it was not at all what I was expecting. Once I was able to adjust to the strange tone and confusing narrative, I found it pretty enjoyable, but nothing special. Truthfully my above average rating is owed more to the technical aspects of the film. The music, cinematography, some of the editing, and most of the camera work are all very creative and engaging. The film looked and sounded great, even when I wasn't sure what exactly was going on.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Killer joe I heard this movie was awesome not at all. I give it a 6 just a disturbing movie With Mathew Mconahay as a hired killer or how ever u spell his name. Expected to be better .

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Moonrise Kingdom was nothing special either. It is actually the only Wes Anderson movie that I didn't like.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Most people find it to be a very special film. You're just wrong.

I'm not a huge Wes fan either, but I can recognize the film is well made, and works on some level that isn't apart of me. But that's OK.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

okay, that's fine but it wasn't better than Argo.

Okay to be fair I liked the first half of Moonrise Kingdom, but then towards the end it stopped making sense. Kinda felt like the writer didn't know where to go with the story or something, the kid/lighting scene was kinda dumb. the church scene didn't make much sense.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

You can't watch his films like you would every film. He has his own style, and you either like it, or you don't.

I share the same problems you had, but it was more of a disconnect for me, then anything else. Not to say the film was bad. But it's not for everyone.

Oz Vs The Army of Darkness

Yeah, I really liked this movie. It's not perfect. But it's not flawed either...if that makes sense. I'll have to digest it a bit...but I ****ing love the Raiminess all around the thing. It was like an Army of Darkness, but for kids, and not quite as funny. But still good.

Very sweet. A bit schmultzy...but eh. It didn't feel TOO forced. Although, some of it did. But that's just what has to be with kids films. Still. I never found myself going "Oh jesus christ" like Alice in Wonderland.

What a horrible piece of **** that was.

You get NOTHING like this.

But you do get a scene kind of like this...

It was also nice to feel nostalgic about something...I used to watch The Wizard of Oz all the time as a small child. And all those images just really brought me back.

Oh, and Bruce Campbell is in it too!

now why are you hating on Alice in wonderland? that movie made a billion dollars. :cuckoo:

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

That movie can go **** it self. Hate that piece of ****.

If this movie doesn't make more, then humanity is officially retarded.

I hate Alice in Wonderland too but I usually only hear people praising it. Glad I am not the only one.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I've gotten into arguments before with people that swear it is the best disney movie of that year. and of Burton's career. the movie really really sucked but some people swear it is better than the old cartoon version of Alice which is complete blasphemy.
