Didnt like what they did to him..This movie could have been so much more.And He was a bit too intelligeant for my taste...I like my Mongoloid Freak a bit more dumb...And the overall feel and story of the movie felt average.I'm a big fan of the franchise and this movie didnt do nothing for me.

Well ultimately I still love parts 1-4 more than the remake but just thought that they made him more "cool" with the remake. By no means do I consider the remake more important (to me) than parts 1-4.

I'm watching part 3 right now

I agree with that I think the fact that he was smart made him more scarier because he was setting them up like a hunter would.

There is nothing wrong with the fact that he has a mental disability, it makes him more unpredictable.

Overall remakes are fun but will never out do the originals imo. I am a fan of remakes.

I havent replaced the originals either. I love them.

1-4 are great, as is 6. The rest are fun to watch, but total ^^^^.

But I like this Jason more then the other films. He has this edge that works.....

Well I didn't mean it as a hit against the 80's movies, just in comparison to the originals he seemed quite dumb. Like if the remake never happened I would think differently on the matter but since it does now exist and only in comparison I feel this way.

There were too many times in the originals where he was fooled into some trap or getting setup for a good ol' bump in the back of the head. Just my 2 cents .............. there is nothing in film that I watch more than the original Fridays. I still love them of course.

Well the remake Jason got fooled a few times too (mainly by the chick he held captive) but I do see what your getting at. I'll admit Jason isn't the brightest bulb of slasher movie serial killers but not the dumbest either (that honor goes to the original Leatherface). Again though I've never belived Jason was dumb. While he may not be book smart but he's not the dumb mongoloid many make him out to be imho especially when you consider he survived alone in the woods fending for himself since the age of 11 or so. A retarded person wouldn't have lasted 3 days.

The story wasn`t really going anywhere but the atmosphere in this movie was great,i really liked it.

Bedtime stories - 5/10 not his best but not rotten
The day the Earth stood still 7/10 (never seen the original so can't compare)
Yesman 6/10 got some good giggles in the early, it bit died a bit later though
