*** out of *****. An atmospheric horror/sci-fi film. It's basically an Italian version of THE BLOB, but with a slightly more interesting plot.

I guess maybe Friday the 13th is such a distinctly 80's property to me, with that vibe missing I just couldn't really get into it... I don't know. I can see why other people dig it though, it did have some cool moments.

I think the reason I liked it so much was because of how smart they made him whereas in the originals he was plain dumb and gullible. I am of course a HUGE fan of the originals and DO still enjoy part 1 (1980) more than the remake but overall this version had many positives to it.

You didn't have to wait 2 1/2 films to finally see him in his iconic mask. Again he was alot smarter and somewhat "set up" his victims strategically. His size made more sense to his monsterous power or monster like presence.

Meh, it could have been worse, they could have implemented a "Hillbilly" introduction to the child known as Jason Voorhees.

Overall i'd rate them this way:

Part 1 8/10
Part 2 7/10
Part 3 7/10
Part 4 8.5/10
Remake 8/10

I agree with T's FT13 ratings....but i'd change 1 to a 7.

Part 6 gets a 9. Sorry. Its too funny and awesome. I love comedy with my horror.

Watched this season in just a few days liked this more than season 1 now on to season 3.

I would definately watch this again. it was awesome. Long flick but never felt it lagged. great storyline. Even if you know nothing of the original (dont know if thats possible on this board. ) you will enjoy this movie.

Star Trek in a nutshell:

There is a big starship roughly the size of an aircraft carrier Captained by a egomaniacal short guy with a speech impediment. He has a motley crew made up of an emotionless, pointy-eared scientist with a salad-bowl haircut, a hot black chick for a comm officer whose skirt is about 2 feet shorter than would really be allowed on a ship full of mostly men , a naive Russian kid for a helmsman, an oriental guy for a gunner who we have come to understand a little more about why he was so "happy" around the other male crew members, a Scottish engineer with the funniest one-liners in the entire continuum, a few randomly placed female "yomen" for the Captain to ogle, and a bunch of guys in red shirts who were all walking dead guys...

They fought mainly against two races of aliens one of which seemed to be a distant relation to the pointy-eared scientist with a decidedly Roman twist and the other which had some funky ripples in their skulls and were named after what you might miss while using toilet paper, There were also some random space monsters as could be created with the limited special effects from the 60's.

And now you are schooled in Star Trek lore.
