Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters (Unrated Version) - 9.5/10

Cool movie. Loved how they made the witches like the ones from the Evil Dead movies. And even as a gnarly, beat-up witch Famke Janssen was still hot. :lol

Sorry to sound like a douche, but some of you guys need to stop watching the same stuff over and over and repeatedly rating it over and over again.

We can't all watch off-brand, shoestring budget crap like you bro. :wave

I didn't finish all of it, but from what I saw, I dug the witches. They were indeed full on Evil Dead witches. Kinda awesome. :lol

Despicable Me 2 : 7,5/10

weak story and some gags from the first movie were used again but the minions saved this movie

World War Z 8.5/10

I know this is based on a book, but I'm glad the movie came out. It's a fresh narrative in an otherwise stale and formulaic subgenre.

Fresh? Really :dunno

There is nothing fresh about it.

Not that I have read the book, but from what I know about it, if the film was told by survivors talking to an unseen camera person, with photo stills and news video footage, now that would have been fresh.

WWZ the book is a great read and a new twist on zombie/survivor stories. That and Day by Day Armageddon are my favorite zombie books. Haven't seen the movie yet.

Oz the Great and Powerful...6/10. My kuds rented it and I ended up watching the whole thing and thougt it was pretty entertaining. I liked Franco and Michelle Williams especially. Last 30 minutes or so were my favorite.

It's fresh in that there's more to it than the typical story of survivors holing up somewhere, things fall apart, survivors get over run, a few escape. WWZ is about a person trying to find some sort of way to remedy the situation.

You didn't see Contagion then?

This is the End: Laughed my @$$ off/10
First time seeing Brokeback Mountain. It was good for a one time watch. Probably never going to sit through it again: 8/10

That was the perfect WWZ movie. Just without the zombies=.

Absolutely. I enjoyed Contagion better, albeit it wasn't a zombie movie.

I actually didn't hate WWZ. I might even buy it on blu-ray, I do keep thinking about it. Shame it felt so contrived in places.

I also agree the film focused far to heavily on Pitt, and how bloody marvellous and perfect he was.

Maniac (2012) 6-10 - A tad too much like the original to really separate it and become it's own film. Even with the first person view throughout it still was just too similar.. However I enjoyed all the performances and it actually grossed me out once which almost never happens. Not bad but not great.
