That's a shame. That film goes to a whole new level in the last third.:rock
Ehh.. I've seen & heard enough, I'm good. :lol

Robocop (2014) - 4/10

Nope. Whoever compared this to Dredd, you're terrible people and you should feel bad. And now I'll stand quietly by as the dust settles, the hype dies down, and you realize on Blu that this movie has no rewatchability value what-so-ever.
:lol

Would you buy it for a dollar though? :monkey3

Dallas Buyers Club - 8.5/10

McConaughey was truly amazing in this. Definitely deserved the Oscar.
I really want to see this film.

I'd probably bump it up to a 9/10. It was really well made IMO.

Though I thought he was a great actor, I wasn't fully on board the McConaughey hype train after MUD and True Detective, but his performance in this sealed the deal for me. It's like he literally transformed into a different person for the role.

Spartacus (1960)

Errr...I don't want to rate it. I have no doubt it was amazing for the time it came out but I easily prefer the TV show of this decade. Both seem to be heavily fictionalised versions of the history from what I gather but I'd go with the more recent telling of it for sure.

Killer Joe ... 6.5/10. Eh. It was alright. Redneck noir movie. McConaughey was great. Plot was a little mundane. Can't figure out why it was NC17, though.

The Lone Ranger ... 7/10. Not great, but better than I expected. Maybe I'm just happy to see a western hit the screen every once in a while. The Lone Ranger was a bit too much of a bumbling fool ... would've been better if he'd have been the other brother. I'd prefer a badass to an idiot. Depp was fine as Tonto. The evil corporate white guy "plot twist" is getting old. I actually found it mildly refreshing when they said thought the Commanches were raiding settlement camps ... old fashioned cowboys & Indians stuff.

Captain America : The Winter Soldier - 8/10

Marvel is on a roll, wish Iron Man 3 could have been as good as this one.

Robert Redford was good but...

It's just too obvious to movie-goers that if you cast someone like Redford in a non-leading role in your movie that he will turn out to be the villain.

He did a good job, and that's really my only complaint.

Why bother with it? You've hated on that movie from the get go.

Mud - 8/10

I thought the kids did a great job in that movie. The rest was pedestrian.

Not true. I was open to it and even the director at first. I didn't hate on it until I saw the actual content(suit), trailer and SDCC panel. I watched it and gave it a fair chance. I payed my $4.50 matinee.

I hated on Cabin in the Woods too and when I saw it I admitted it was ok. Not the amazing thing the Whedon nuts here said but ok.

This movie was not ok.

Some people here have **** taste, that's no suprise from the board where I've seen more 10/10 Avenger ratings than anywhere else. Or instant hype over a mediocre movie where someones just gotta have a 2k figure from it nao!

I'm not alone https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/1200731-robocop/
