Amazing Spider Man 2: 7.5/10

SOOO many problems but everything they got right they absolutely nailed. I can't help but put it into positive territory. I wish some things were different but I'm satisfied with it as a continuation of the story of the first which I thought was phenomenal.

And oh my god that scene. You know which one. One of the few times in a movie I've heard an audible response from pretty much everyone in the theater. Brutal. I grabbed my own back, winced, and yelled "Jesus" in the time span of about a second just in an uncontrollable reaction. Then the theater was a puddle of tears. Although that actually happened a few times in the movie. The plot was lacking but the movie was very emotional.

I talked to a lot of people who didn't like it but I think it speaks to the film's successes that even people who didn't like it couldn't help but be emotionally invested in many of the characters. Mostly thanks to Parker, Stone, Field, and Dehaan.

Even though much of the Electro aspect of the movie was stupid. That scene in Times Square was brilliant and felt very natural. You're on the edge of the seat the whole time because he's so unstable and paranoid and you don't know how he's going to react to even the slightest of things. You feel sorry for Dillon, and it's one of the only times in the movie they handle his mental illness well. The other good example being the Goblin team up scene.

Looking forward to the next one!

Source Code-9/10 I can't believe it took this long for me to watch this film. Between this and Moon, I'm in awe of the talent of Duncan Jones.

I liked Source Code, but I didn’t think it was great, I might have to watch it again. Moon on the other hand is one of my favorite movies of all time.

I'd give it an 8 myself though.
I'd 9/10 if it was either more artistic or more mainstream.
Back there as a teen I was really impressed, but today... Maybe I am too adult, if you know what I mean :lol

Everyone says that the original book is more serious and less on the weird side, gonna give it a try.

Maleficent...wife and kids loved it, I thought it was ok. 6.5/10...good enough to enjoy once but no real desire for a rewatch

X-Men : DOFP - 8/10

I think I liked this one the most of the X-Men movies, nudges out X2 for the top spot. My only real complaint is that it felt too long and dragged in the middle, but not sure what I would cut-out. Also, seemed a little too convenient that Wolverine would suddenly have a paralyzing case of PTSD right when they needed him most.

I dont know a lot about the other future X-men, but I thought Blink and her wormholes was very cool.

Also, the Quicksilver scene was hilarious.

What exactly was Bishop's mutant power? Siphoning energy to use in his gun?

Godzilla - 9/10
X-Men: Days Of Future Past - 9/10
Maleficent - 9/10
Lone Ranger - Very few liked this one but I enjoyed watching this movie.
Gladiator - 10/10
