Secret Life of Walter Mitty - 6.5/10

Oddly enough, where this movie really seems to fall on it's face is during Walter's daydreams. Too often played for laughs (Benjamin Button, why?) that never materialize, they really were over the top in a bad way. Which is too bad, because you would think those sequences would give us a better, closer look into the character, instead they went for flash over substance or cheap laughs. Without the daydram sequences I would rate this much higher.

Those sequences are the only parts related to original Thurber's story.
And I absolutely agree that they should've left that concept on the cutting room floor since it was used properly only once and then completely forgotten.

Since I already destroyed whatever cred I had by defending TASM2, I will chime in to say that I agree with you that Catching Fire was a much better movie than the first Hunger Games. I did not like Hunger Games, but I found myself enjoying Catching Fire. I think CF had a much better Director this time around, or (get ready for the quote) maybe my taste is getting worse in my older age.

Catching Fire was the movie that made me even care about the Hunger Games. I'm glad you agree, man. And hey I have to say while ASM 2 wasn't my favorite film of the year, I liked it.

Malificent 6/10 nice original version of that story.. to bad it got rushed at the end to much and was to predictable as well..
Edge of Tomorrow 9/10 now that movie got me excited from the beginning ! Great movie.. refreshing idea !! Funny as well.. very good movie and enjoyed this one a lot!

^Agreed, Riddick went back to its roots. It felt alot like Pitch Black, which is a good thing.

That's cause it was Pitch Black. Instead of monsters coming out at night, we got monsters coming out when it rains.

I still enjoyed it for what it was, but I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to sci-fi.

Just like in RISES Dark Knight stopped being sissy and saves the day only when some maniac tries to destroy the city, retconning his origin. Just like in iStark Tree IM overcomes his life's issues only when some notorious terrorist group, secretly led by some rich man with personal hatred towards Tony, kills a lot of civilians and then tries to kill him, retconning his origin.

It was the theme of the day.
And thankfully, Riddick did it best.

I don't think I even reviewed Korra's Book 3.

But it's a 10/10, book 2 it corrected the pace problems of book 1 and book 3 tweaked what was left to be tweaked.

Overall 1st 3 books are aaaaalmost as good as The legend of Aang, but not quite there by a bit, still the best cartoon around these days though.

Best cartoon in recent memory and even better than some classic cartoons.

Elysium. 5/10. Leftist circle jerk with some pretty good action. Would've been better without the agenda. Dystopian sci-fi is a cool enough genre without all the preaching.
