yeah... I said the same thing :lol

It wasn't by any stretch bad, but it's really out there and definitely the most explicit film outside of porn ever made. The ending kinda made me laugh :lol

I gotta watch these.....:lol

They're both on Netflix, and I think this month they released a director's cut that is almost 6 hours long :rotfl

Godzilla 2014 on blu. 8.5/10.
Admittedly, my review is biased being a big G fan but I agree with most... he didn't get enough screen time.

Godzilla 5/10 I thought it was okay. Bryan Cranston was the best in the film. They should have given him more screen time. Everything he does now he just kills it as an actor.

Godzilla: 7.5/10 - Better than I expected after reading so many complaints. I actually saw way more of Godzilla than I had expected too. So many drama-filled opinions. :lol

Prince Avalanche: 8/10 - Good Bro-Flick

Just got this from Netflix today, your really getting me excited to watch it.

:lol

Ink FFS - how many rubbish movies do you endure? I'm thinking it must be part of your job, or you're such a cinephile that you'll sample anything and everything without prejudice.

Blue Ruin

7.5/10

Been a long time since I saw a movie with very less dialogues. Quite an uneasy experience, I'd say; majorly because most of the time Dwight was clueless about what he should do next / how to go about things. Good watch for someone who's into the 'revenge' genre.

Sometimes curiosity get's the better of me. That being said, I don't make all the picks on Netflix. Saw reviews on both sides of the spectrum for this one, not really hoping for much, to be honest.

Speaking of rubbish....

Maze Runner - 5.5/10

Interesting premise ruined by annoying teen actors, bad acting and cheesy dialogue.

Why did the Reavers even exist in the first place?

I can sort of understand the desire to test the kids and their ability to problem solve, think creatively, but why create an enemy so difficult to defeat. I had a hard time believing that they could fight off any of the Reavers with the exception of the first one.

Hope the book was better than this.

I've watched some real turds, but I've also come across some decent movies in my digs through Netflix

It's a luxury to be able to sit and devote time to a movie that might be terrible but may turn out to have something to offer. I'm sure I miss out on a lot of interesting flicks by not taking a chance on stuff.

I hear you. I went through a movie drought for a long time, now that my daughter is in full day school I get to sneak in a movie here and there. That's going to be ending again for me soon though, child #2 is on His or her way, premiering sometime in April. ;)

if you have the time it's actually a good trait to have. I didn't watch Brom Stoker's Dracula for YEARS because I listened to certain peoples' opinions on it.
I don't anymore. I tend to love a lot of movies others hate. I actually enjoy that. :lol

Secret Life of Walter Mitty - 6.5/10

Oddly enough, where this movie really seems to fall on it's face is during Walter's daydreams. Too often played for laughs (Benjamin Button, why?) that never materialize, they really were over the top in a bad way. Which is too bad, because you would think those sequences would give us a better, closer look into the character, instead they went for flash over substance or cheap laughs. Without the daydram sequences I would rate this much higher.
