Penguins of Madagascar - 7/10. I love the penguins, and this is a nice origin story that jumps to post Madagascar 3. Very good voice acting, especially Malkovich and Cumberbatch. Not as great as the tv show is at times, but fun nonetheless.

8.5/10 - Gone Girl

Had zero interest in this movie but I'm glad I watched it. Well written and full of surprises. Not a movie that I can rewatch though, but it is worth watching if you haven't seen it before.

Your funny bone is kill.

Man, not even a 4? The turtles were funny. :lol

The turtles were like an afterthought. Like they were guests in their own movie, secondary characters. It's. Called ninja turtles and they are not even the main focus of the movie. Lazy predictable story, bad guy made no sense, shredder was added later due to fan backlash....... Screw this movie

I'm not defending the movie at all, it's a steaming piece of ****.

But the turtles were awesome and funny characters, they were good turtles in a terrible ass generic Megan Fox movie.

The easy way out of course is to lump the designs and the turtles with the rest of the ****tines of the movie :lol

everything around the turtles was too annoying or too retarded and the turtles' presence was ruined because of that

Splinter was a bully and looked disgusting

:lol

I caught an excellent 'retrospective' documentary last night night on the history of Marvel Comics - it was on TV, & I totally stumbled upon it by chance. Absolutely Loved it.

It was hosted by that young blonde actress from Cap2 - I forget her name. It was pretty damn comprehensive too; it basically chronicled everything from the beginning of Timely Comics, the war period, post war, all the players that shaped the biz - & right up to the movie phenomenon that we're in the midst of right now. Lots of references to the masters like Ditko, Kirby, Romita etc - & lots of great anecdotes from Stan the man.

I'd love to own it on BR, not sure if it's included with one of the recent films or what..

9 / 10. :rock
