Yes, though the remake wasn't bad, either.
I enjoyed the remake.

I'm with you man.
I like MM2, but the first one is excellent - regardless of what silly blabberisms some have about it.
All is not lost for you yet.Edge of Tomorrow 9/10 still as funny and badass as in the cinema, such a shame it bombed.
Yup, FN is where it's at.I agree with you on this one. Paxton's vampire was great, but apart from that? Based on the concept and actors from Aliens who got brought over, it really should have been more than it was. Still one of the top '80s vampire movies for me, though. Better than Lost Boys, not as good as Fright Night.
Not the worst thoughDidn't care for Near Dark. Worst vampires ever. TLB and FN trump it hard.
Don't be fooled, I'm a lost cause. All is not lost for you yet.
Nightcrawler different... a bit dragging but very well acted 6/10
The Evil Dead (1981).
As a kid I was always terrified of this movie but viewing it now I find it intentionally hilarious and over the top. To my surprise I found out there are basically two types of audiences for this movie- those who view it as a comedy and those who view it as a truly scary flick.
9/10
I was terrified too of it as a kid, but now it doesn't really bother me much at all now.
I've never seen it. Worth a watch? Is the remake any good?

The only good remakes are The Thing (1982) and The Fly (1986), any horror remakes are pitiful compared to these two.
