The Grand Budapest Hotel - 9/10

Wes is one of the few directors who is still continuing to improve every aspect of his craft. I especially like that this took a bit of a turn away from the typical love story happy ending he runs with.

I thought a lot of it was ridiculous actually. The wacky android running alongside the reporter's car. The bit where he crashes his car, then climbs out of the carnage like T1 Arnold!!! :rotfl

The cyborg Ghidorah idea, oh man. The chick's actually inside the thing - driving it? Too much. :lol

Watch the rest of the 90s series, it's much-much less WTF-y.
1992 "Vs Mothra" has the most beautiful FX of any kaiju film.

Such a great film! I need to watch it again. Fiennes is phenomenal!

So good.
When he's hanging on the edge of the cliff but still won't shut up, it's so intense yet comical. And then Dafoe goes over the edge and he cuts himself off with that "Oh! You got him!" I just about died. His end on the train is equally well-written, giving the opposing officer a pass card from Norton.

Anderson is one of only a few Director's who's movies I get genuinely excited about (hence my screen name), even though I was disappointed with Darjeeling Limited. His look is unmistakable, as soon as the film starts, you know he's the Director.

Fiennes was so good in this movie, hope he get's a nomination for it. He even makes the F-bomb sound strangely cultured and Elegant.
