Chappie- 6.5/10 Not bad. It's a rehash of District 9 and Elysium, but it was entertaining. Could it be better? Yes, a lot better, but it's not too bad. Sigourney Weaver's role was irrelevant, so that's too bad.

The Lego Movie - 84/100. Neeson's hilarious as Good Cop. :lol

The Mist - 71/100. Lots of Walking Dead vets in this one.

Shaun of the Dead - 80/100. Didn't like it as much as others do.

Me and my girlfriend were on a Marvel movie marathon while the power was out this week so we watched them all. Not going to rate because most were very enjoyable but the top picks for me are the Captain America, Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy.

Now onto other films I watched and new releases in theatres I watched over the months.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron: 6.5/10

Jurassic World: 7/10

American Sniper: 7.5/10

Terminator: Genysis: 6/10

Fury: 8/10

Kingsman: The Secret Service: 8/10

Mission Impossible: 4/10

Mission Impossible 2: 2/10 "The worst one in the franchise and I just hated it. It may be a John Woo film but it sucked."

Mission Impossible 3: 6.5/10

Mission Impossible 4 Ghost Protocol: 8.5/10

Mission Impossible 5 Rogue Nation: 8/10

Ant-Man: 8.5/10

Fantastic Four 2015: 1/10 "I rather watch the Tim Story and Corman films than this again."

The Fly - 9/10 Love the Goldblum

Well, that's a little bit too harsh... Even I gave it 2/10 :lol

It was better than Jurass Whiirl at least.
It was the other way around for me, I gave JW a 2, I thought the concepts of JW were dumb but there were some things here and there that made me gave it those 2 points.

TG had some fanfic-level concepts I liked, but there was nothing in the execution of anything in that movie that was redeemable imo, and I do mean nothing, at any level. I didn't even want to watch it, I just watched it in case I ever needed an opinion on the movie I could have an informed one out of respect for the "franchise" I love so much.

It's funny, most of these "franchises" we love are completely deformed at this point, all of them have more bad ones than good ones, we only have the original movies of each franchise to console us.

:lol

This is a sad era we're living in indeed.

I think as far as blockbusters go it's a good era, it's the needless and endless rape of classics what makes me sad.

As long as it's the Japanese one. :lol The Naomi Watts remake (again as per teh 'sad') is ****ing crap.

I'm no authority on horror movies, but the Japanese KNOW how to make'em.

Yeah it's the Japanese one, I've never watched it before, saw the remake, the Japanese one is much much better, Asian horror movies in general are great, so are Spanish ones.
