Portlandia (season 5) - Disappointed/10

It had its moments but this was the weakest season by far. The change in format to have longer story arcs and less random sketches throughout ended up doing more harm than good. Still funny and worth viewing. I don't see myself revisiting these often as the first four seasons.

The visit i really dont like the video cam type characters directing it doesnt work very well with carrying cam everywhere. It was kinda o.k but still think its a horrible way to shoot a film. Anyway a o.k creepy feel to this and like the end kinda could have been better. Sorry season horror fan and take's a lot to spook me ,give this a 4. It's worth watching once.

Avengers Age of Ultron (second viewing) - 6/10

Much the same as the first viewing really. Passable entertainment but a weak villain, repetitive Avengers VS Drones scenario and some inexplicable dialogue.

Lock Up (1989) -- 7.5 / 10

Solid Stallone movie - classic 80s fare. Never seen it before, & I was really pleasantly surprised. Good cast & performances, & real sense of dread & hopelessness re. Frank Leone's situation once he's transferred to Donald Sutherland's facility. Loved the brawls between the inmates & the guards, the pacing, the intensity, it all worked for me.

In Bruges - 89/100

I love this film! Firstly, I can understand how it can be outrageous with some of the characters, and some specific scenes like Ken and the Tower or Harry Waters in general. I feel some of the allusions and pop culture references were a bit too strong or forced, but didn't take away too much from me. It's witty and funny especially the **** Ken and Ray talk about. The music seemed fitting, and the huge spectrum of emotion conveyed in weather and lighting was fantastic. One thing that took a lot from me was Chloe. I just couldn't get into her character (despite being the more normal character [still a bit of a stretch though] in comparison to the guys). A good cast overall and fun movie. I"ll probably be buying this one too.

The Addams Family - 81/100

I don't actually know anything about the Addams family. Growing up I only really watched and stayed with 4 shows: Dragonball Z, Batman: The Animated Series, Superman: Animated Series, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. So I've never known any character of the Addams Family, but I can say I am aware of some of the names. Knowing the cast list and the Gothic macabre humor; I had a blast with it. Though I admit that there really is no plot, but I felt it was still a witty movie to display the array of characters. I do wish I'd known more or saw more anything related to this series, but I'm glad I started it at least. Fun way to start the Halloween movie line up.

Had you never seen it before? And if so, why on Earth would you want to revisit it?!

I managed to avoid it for so long, but in anticipation of SPECTRE I've been filling the gaps by watching some of the Bond movies I hadn't yet seen and revisiting some of my favourites. I watched Casino Royale to wash the taste of Die Another Day out... it's a good remedy.
