Big Hero 6 - 5/10. Saw it once before and wasn't really impressed; tonight I saw it again, and nothing seemed to improve.

Sicario: 86/100

Saw this a second time, I really wasn't too impressed the first viewing except for Josh Brolin and Benecio Del Toro. I thought the story was a bit whack and could have done wonders if we removed Kate and Reggie entirely out of the movie. Some occasional plot holes like what happened to Jon Bernthal's character.

What I really do like is the authenticity it showed of the Mexican lifestyle, how people do what they do, and what really happens over there. You can see how many Mexicans aren't fazed by police because they know something is always up.

The score was great, as was the acting minus Reggie and Kate (Blunt was good at the end IMO).

I picked up on a few things which seemed to make the film interesting. I first noticed the characters that smoked, I noticed many times those that smoked are someone that is following orders, almost ignorant to what's going on. Moments when some characters stop smoking, you can tell they got hit with the fact of reality. This kind of helped out in the story showing who's really important.

Second time around I also picked up dialogue that I would have dismissed, and now carry a message and tone foreshadowing the future.

Overall? Good film. I wouldn't call it amazing, but it did better a second time around.

C.H.U.D - 7/10

This was my second time seeing this movie, the first time I saw it I was nine years old :lol. It's a pretty low-budget, campy 80s horror flick, with some kind of environmentalist theme about nuclear waste creating the Ninja Turtles - erm, I mean, C.H.U.D.s. It makes you wonder what kind of awful things are lurking in the sewers, aside from smelly bums - which get eaten by the C.H.U.Ds.

Marv from Home Alone was in the movie, too.

Ten Commandments - 7/10

Was great until Moses went all crazy religious

Well, that's the entire point of the movie. The Exodus of the Jews from Egypt is only documented in the Torah, which serves as both a religious and historical text.

I watch it every year, but it's such a long film.

First Blood - 8/10

Awesome movie... the only Rambo movie I actually like.

I saw this when I was probably 12 years old. I just remember my buddy and I waiting the whole movie for some kind of monster action and then feeling really let down. LOL. I need to see it again.

When the monsters do show up, the special effects are so awful :lol. The acting's pretty hilarious, too. It's one of those movies you'll have to enjoy just for the camp.

I appreciate the camp now and enjoy it, but not as a 12 year old so much. It's just funny because it's one of those memory's that my buddy and I will never forget for some reason. :lol

Tomorrowland - 7/10

Better than I anticipated. I think people blame Disney for marketing the film wrong, but I think the intention was to keep the true plot a surprise. I found it quite refreshing that I didn't go into the film spoiled beforehand, allowed me to enjoy it in a way that is rare nowadays.

Under the skin - 7/10 Liked it a lot, it's due for a rewatch for sure.

Scanners - 6/10 I had forgotten that acting :lol still pretty awesome, wouldn't mind a properly made remake tbh.

Same here. Knew very little of it before watching and enjoyed it. I loved seeing Space Mountain in the backdrop on a few of the scenes. That was really cool.
