Not much really to care for. I think Jolie is hot, but the film played too much off that. Ethan Hawke is actually decent in this.

Story was meh, boring cause the first sequence was great and then it just died off.


Played too close to Se7en IMO.

There's so much wrong with execution in Scanners, starting with the acting, despite Cronenberg's style and fantastic special FX that could greatly benefit from a remake, ideally made by Cronenberg himself though, like the Hellraiser remake

Nah, I really enjoy it. The movie really starts to shine for me when it gets into the alternate 1985 stuff, and the sneaking around the Under the Sea dance at the end is really tense and well executed IMO.

I first saw this back in high school, & I'll never forget the part when the lady gets attacked by the crows - brutal!!
