Solid movie. I really liked the tone, and thought Bana and Talk Soup guy made a really good cop team. I could watch a straight cop movie with just those two. Some genuinely freaky moments, but it got a bit over the top toward the end, to the detriment of the movie as a whole IMO. This is the kind of movie where less is more.

Loved Ant Man too. I thought it was an interesting and unique take on a superhero movie, being essentially a "heist" movie. And loved Luis's storytelling, and making waffles for everyone. I also liked that Ant Man, and essentially other superheroes besides Cap, have been around for a while but in secret. It opened up a nice history to the Universe.

I watched it, but I can barely remember anything from it.

I read reviews after watching it, and apparently it was pretty derivative of other modern horror movies. But I haven't watched many of those (your Insidious's and whatnot), so it seemed somewhat fresh to me. But yeah, not the kind of thing I would put at the top of my list of Halloween go-to movies.

The Brood - 5.5/10 - Was rather dull until the very end.

Great movie IMO, and extremely freaky. I need to watch it again.

Boy am I kicking myself for missing this on the big screen. Not recommended for anyone with a puritanical dislike of graphic depictions of sex, an aversion to slow-burning films, a weak stomach or vertigo
