The Wizard of Oz (1939) - It's been years since I tried watching this last. I don't think I got through it last time I tried. I must've watched this movie once a day for a while as a kid. As a result it's always a chore to get through. This time I watched it with my almost 20 month old son. It was the first time we sat him down in front of the TV to watch something with us. He laughed hysterically at the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion. He burst into applause when they started singing Follow the Yellow Brick Road. It was magical.

10/10

Trainwreck: 4/10

Terrible. I’ve never seen anything by Amy Schumer so I didn’t have any expectations. I don’t think I would even categorize this as a comedy—more like a drama with some (supposed) humor in it. I think any Melissa McCarthy movie is better than this was. I was ready to give up on it like maybe a half hour into it, but I soldiered on since I didn’t have anything else to watch. I should have quit.

You gotta get him to watch it again but record a video of him during those key moments.

MY SON, MY SON, WHAT HAVE YE DONE? (2009) 9/10

Werner Herzog goes full on madness and comedy in this one and Michael Shannon is ****ing brilliant as the star. Perfect follow up to THE BAD LIEUTENANT: PORT OF CALL NEW ORLEANS.

Thrilled to find out afterwards that Herzog & Shannon are reteaming this year for SALT AND FIRE.

One Missed Call (2003) - 5/10

I love Japanese horror, but this one felt really cut-and-paste from other franchises like Ju-On. It's still an okay movie if you have nothing to watch.

I'm sure the ringtone has been used a lot in pranks over the years.
