Victor Frankenstein - 4/10

Started off fairly interesting, but got boring mid-way through. As much as I think McAvoy Can be a good actor, he really hams it up in too many of his movies, and this one is no exception. There might have been a good movie in there somewhere, but the Director lost his way. Charles Dance is wasted in a one scene role, years ago, I imagine he could have made a good Dr. Frankenstein in his own right. Also, I think the Director suffers from whatever syndrome that afflicts Guy Ritchie.

This is Radcliffes movie, and he is decent in it, but often gets over-shadowed by McAvoy.

McAvoy’s best performances was in Atonement and Wanted. Not the biggest fan of Wanted but his performance in that movie was pretty damn great. The guy doesn’t seem to work as much as the rest of his X-Men cast mates.

Fassbender definitely works more than any of them and it just feels like J-Law is everywhere, but McAvoy has made several smaller films over the years. I've heard Trance is a good one.

Trance was okay, I think his best performance in recent years was probably Filth or the Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, but both of those movies are also only okay in my opinion. His body of work is certainly not as impressive as Fassbender’s, I’d like to see him do more.

Moneyball - 7/10

An interesting film, which I enjoyed but I felt I was watching Brad Pitt as the General Manager of Oaklands Athletics not Billy Beane.

The more I think about it the more that movie experience feels like a rip-off.

I had much more fun watching Bastille Day.

I'm going to downgrade my initial rating from "just ok/10" to "stupid spectacle, stupid characters and two good sequences/10"
