Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets - 6.5/10

It's entertaining, it has great visuals, but the acting can be pretty bad. :lol Overall it's a fun, cheesy romp through space. I liked it.

Plus most characters are memorable, even the minor ones.
I just wish it wasn't so silly most of the time. Villains look great and nicely written but the actin's just way too OTT. Same goes to most of them cop characters.

Silliness for sure. I need to give that another watch, it's been quite some time.

What made you not give it a 10?
Just a few odd editing decisions. The biggest one bein'... from 0:35 to 0:49

She's basically talkin' to the "BEEEEEEEEEEE" sound there, it's hilarious and not dramatic. He could hold a pause and hang up after hearin' Starling's panicful "Doctor Lecter?" - that way it'd actually mean something instead of bein' weirdly funny.

So yeah, these things take me out of the movie which I hate. But the rest is great, thus 9,5 :lol

Do it. It's a fun little CBM.
The styles clash but at least it has them, unlike most comic book movies of today.

Alright, I hear you. While it can take you out of it, I thought it was memorable.

I still can't believe the dude is in the movie no more than 20 minutes and got an Oscar :lol

The Frighteners - 7,5/10

Mostly for great comedic moments and dated yet cool ghost visuals.
And weird stuff like this:

I mean... HOLY ****, that's absolutly ****ed up and I love it!

Highly underrated film...alway on my Halloween list. Suffers from some bad editing and unnecessary scenes.

DUNKIRK. just saw this in 70MM and sorry to say I can only give it 5/10.And the 5 is because it is based on True events. The amazing courage of everyday people during war to get in their small boats and cross the channel to help bring back their stranded soldiers knowing they may never return. And many did not.

there are 400 Thousand men on this beach. When one of the ranking soldiers asked the Admiral where are our ships where is our support, the Admiral replied a ship is coming. The soldier said one ship..WHY? The Admiral replied because they are saving the fleet for the Invasion that they are thinking will come at home.

This is the most bloodless war epic of all time.Lots of dead soldiers but absolutely no blood no body parts for all the explosions and cinema carnage.
Not one dead person on the Beach after that first bombing which occurred right next to one of the main characters we follow was bloody or blown apart. And there was not a trace of blood on the Beach.
Not one Gun on a ship did we see actually fire back at Bombers that were having a field day picking off ships and boats.
I saw one soldier on the Beach actually fire back at incomming strafers.400 Thousand men on the Beach and no one else raised a weapon.
In Town the only guys holding the line were the French. And their Barracade of sand bags looked like it was just purchased at Home Depot. As did the war torn town which was in perfect untouched motion picture condition.
The Music was a total mess of loud pounding mechanical sounds that 75% of were not part of the Flying or the Bombing.A cliche' of sound made to emit emotion in scenes.I'M sure it worked on many people.
Also the chronology was all over the place. In two different scenes in the film it's Day time as boats are crossing the channel but in the next scene it's pitch black night as boats are crossing coming from Dunkirk.Even if that is a real depiction of the actual time difference it was done terrible.
There were some very good scenes, oil in the water catching fire with men in it was pretty realistic, sinking boats and a couple of good spitfire scenes. And one true emotional scene about a young boy we follow on the main rescue Boat.
This story had all the potential to be a good True War Epic. But NOT.

Alien Covenant

Ridley Scott has established himself as the biggest budget B-grade comic director in town/10

Prometheus wasn't all Lindelof's fault after all. Got 50 minutes into this and couldn't continue into the 2nd act. The plot beat that introduces the alien is high farce.

I tried to watch 12 feet deep movie, i had fast fwd to end after 20 minutes lol fastest movie ever watched lol skip it.

ATOMIC BLONDE 6/10.. seen it,done it, but they thought a woman would make it different.Too bad because Charlize is too good an actress for this film. Then again which is why she does such a good job with a lame story.Crank up the Hotness with Sofia Boutella and action with Charlize and it's worth watching.

Oh yeah' the fight scene on the stairs that everyone has seen in the Trailers where Charlize telegraphs a lot of her moves is actually the worst of the fight scenes. She kicks @ss way better in most of the other fighting sequences.More fluid and realistic.
