Treasure Planet - 7.5/10

Criminally overlooked and the last legitimately "good" Disney animated flick IMO.

So, Tangled, Frozen, Wreck-it-Ralph, Big Hero 6, and Moana weren't "good"?

Maybe I'm just a kid at heart, But I do enjoy Disney's animated movies, for the most part.

There are exceptions though.

I'll have to watch Treasure Planet, it's one of the few Disney movies I haven't seen.

I couldn't get into it first time round and pulled the pin about 40 minutes in. It was a few months ago and I thought it worth a revisit at some point, but I haven't got round to it yet. It had its charm, but, er, yeah.

I will at some point. That spoiler sounds alright, but I"m not sure whether the payoff will be in keeping with the expectations set by the tone of the film. It kind of felt like a well budgeted ****o, but without there actually being any ****.

What the hell? This was really good, how's this getting a 26% When TLJ or the MCU gets 120%?

The graphics were pretty good looking, Garona was hot, nice amount of intrigue, action, lore, nice music, nothing too sophisticated but very entertaining overall.

Couple of things that could've used development like Garona/Ragnar Lothbrok.

I'm not Warcraft savvy, but I liked it.

It's not bad. Too much cgi, but it had a good set up for a sequel.

Unlikely, it was considered a financial disappointment.

Well, at least this movie helped me realize obvious CGI isn't necessarily a bad thing, it has its own charm.

And videogame movies in particular should be able to exploit that like this movie did, it's almost like a 2 hour cinematic cut scene and it works great.

normies happened.... normies and angry fanboys

the movie was excellent. very great movie with awesome characters
better than the hobbit and the last jedi

but the orcs were too weird for people and the story was too convoluted and weird for audiences. people had a hard time following the plot and backstory


there COULD be a srquel thanks to china. china saved this movie.

if they make a sequel it will be just with them in mind

no,box office killed it. but when it came out the buzz about it is what i wrote, the main complaints
