Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Tears of the Sun ... 9/10. Badass movie. A bit like the '24' TV movie that was on a year or two ago ... but, with John McClane.

Enemy of the State ... 9/10. Great movie ... good action, engrossing story. Top-tier cast -- Smith, Hackman, Voight, pre-fame (non-comedic) Jack Black and Jamie Kennedy, Barry Pepper (the sniper guy from Saving Private Ryan, Roger Maris in 61*), Scott Caan (one of the Mormon brothers from Oceans 11), Jake Bucey, Jason Lee, Gabriel Byrne, Tom Sizemore, and ... (drumroll) ...

... Bookman the Library Cop from Seinfeld (incidentally my favorite minor Seinfeld character) ...

I've seen your type before: Flashy, making the scene, flaunting convention. Yeah, I know what you're thinking. What's this guy making such a big stink about old library books? Well, let me give you a hint, junior. Maybe we can live without libraries, people like you and me. Maybe. Sure, we're too old to change the world, but what about that kid, sitting down, opening a book, right now, in a branch at the local library and finding drawings of pee-pees and wee-wees on the Cat in the Hat and the Five Chinese Brothers? Doesn't HE deserve better? Look. If you think this is about overdue fines and missing books, you'd better think again. This is about that kid's right to read a book without getting his mind warped! Or: maybe that turns you on, Seinfeld; maybe that's how y'get your kicks. You and your good-time buddies. Well I got a flash for ya, joy-boy: Party time is over. Y'got seven days, Seinfeld. That is one week!

(I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how he delivered that speech in his hard-ass tone with a straight face)

Well, I finally got a chance to see Nightmare on Elm Street remake... 7.5/10 for me!
Honestly, I don't understand all the hatred towards it...
it's better than any of the original sequels IMO...
Doesn't beat the first one... but I think they did a great job with it...
Really creepy, and I loved this new Freddy!

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

I have to say i absolutly hated the remake, i just couldnt buy into it at all. The actors if they can be called that at all did a terrible job, i couldt care about any of them. I dont remember the characters name but the fellow who watched Chrissy die in her bed showed the same amount of emotion as someone would spilling coffee 'i didnt do it, frown repeat', to be fair if i watched my lady get pulverised around a room before practically exploding im pretty sure i'd have a brown stain and wail like a baby running for my life. And i know its a reboot and the characters new updating or reinvinting, but the thing i like about freddie over all other slasher killers was his charisma and he became the star of the franchise, with Jackie i just didnt feel he carried the role off with any lasting integrity that a franchise needs to get going. His moment to shine came far too late in the film, although i dont place the blame on Jackie as much as the writers. Of course these are just my opinions and im not trying to tear into a film just for the arguments sake as i have seen in other articles.
Nightmare on Elm st remake - 2/10

Well I agree the acting wasn't the greatest but no worse than any other slasher remake. I enjoyed this one simply because Freddy was menacing again. I'm not an uber ANOES fan like I am Halloween or F13, but I've seen all of them more than once and pretty much after part 2, Freddy was basically a comidian with a steel claw. Nothing frightening or scary about him. To me this made Freddy menacing and evil again. Whle no one can replace Robert Englund as the TRUE Freddy, I think JEH did a really good job and again made Freddy the truly dispicable and evil charcter he was in the original.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Zombieland: 6.5/10
Sherlock Holmes (Downey, Jr. version): 6.5/10

Both movies were OK, but neither was worth writing home about. I was kind of disappointed, actually.

Inglorious Basterds: 8.5/10

For whatever reason, my expectations were low based on trailers, but as with Tarantino's other work, this turned out to be a real winner. Solid acting and dialogue all the way around. "That's a bingo!"

(500) Days of Summer - 9/10

good movie. nice to see another non-romantic comedy for a change. kinda like chasing amy but different enough to be original.

Inglorious bastards -4/10

I thought the second viewing would be better, but I ended up hating it even more. It was SO boring!:gah:

Couldnt agree more, but I wasn't even that generous.

Anyhoo,

Iron man 2 for the second time - dropped to a 8/10

How to Train Your Dragon for the third time - 1000000000000000000000000000000000000 (I could go on)/10 TOOTHLESS FTW!!

Iron Man 2: 8/10

Really solid sequel... a few slower parts; but overall a lot of fun and didn't crash and burn like it could have. Cheadle was okay, but still wish they had kept the original actor.

And as others have said, not as good as the first.
