The 25th Hour

7.5/10

It has no real plot and it goes into racial-tension-ramble-mode a couple times (as many Spike Lee films do), but I like the characters and I like Edward Norton.

How do you figure? I never pick on you ............... its Sunday afternoon, just having some fun. :) I haven't even seen it yet.

Forgive me. The defenses go up sometimes. You know how it is. :peace

Come on man, no real plot? I agree about the racial rambles, but the plot is solid. What about the mystery of who turned him in? Or the last 24 hours he spends with the people he loves. The ending to that movie gets me every time. The monologue with Brian Cox. Powerful stuff.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Ehhh the plot is pretty bare-bones, man. Guy gets busted, and the movie takes place during the day before he goes to prison. All the in-between stuff isn't really plot. The 'mystery' of who turned him in isn't really significant because for most of the film you suspect that it's the girlfriend.

I do agree, the ending is very powerful. That's why I gave the film a 7.5/10 instead of a 7. :D

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - 8/10 - Great film that you don't see often enough now. Many stories to it.

Boogie Nights

9/10

My gf was disappointed when I told her the truth about the final scene. I laughed.

Re: Rate The Last Movie You Watched.

Gladiator -- 10/10. If I could go higher, I would. Quite possibly the best guy's-guys move ever made.

3:10 to Yuma -- 10/10. Maybe the best western I've ever watched. "Y'know ... for a one-legged farmer, he's one tough sunnuvabich."

Die Another Day -- 7/10. Cool start. Weak villain. I liked the henchman (Zao). Halle Berry was not good (stop trying to give James Bond a chick-partner). Some good action sequences ... and a couple of God-awful ones (some of the computer effects were painful). Badass car.

The World is Not Enough -- 8/10. One of the better Brosnan Bond movies. Liked the villain, and the bad girl. But, Denise Richards as a nuclear physicist? Come on. There are a lot of pretty actresses that can also pull off a "genius" role ... but Richards isn't one of them.
