Horrible Bosses - 8/10. Charlie Day is the man. Everyone else was great too, especially Aniston.

Couple of movie marathons on TV over the weekend ... Indy on SciFi, and Batman on AMC ...

Raiders of the Lost Ark -- 10/10. Best adventure movie ever made. Perfection.

Temple of Doom -- 6/10. Good action. Good ending. Too macabre. The voodoo plot was a bit weird.

Last Crusade -- 8/10.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -- 7/10. Better than Temple. Underrated.

Batman -- 7.5/10. Keaton is a reasonable Batman. Jack is a great Joker. Some weirdness throughout. Shouldn't have killed off Joker. Alfred should've been fired for bringing Vale to the Batcave.

Batman Returns -- 5/10. I forgot how little Batman is actually in this movie. Too much Penguin ... and not a terribly good Penguin. The Penguin isn't a circus freak. Too gothic. Burton went a little overboard on this one.

Batman Forever -- 6/10. Better than Returns. A little campy, but intentionally so. Good for the type of movie Schumaker intended to make. Kilmer is a better Batman than Keaton.

Batman Begins -- 10/10. Possibly better than The Dark Knight. TDK has better villains. BB has a better Batman story arch.

Mimic 3 - 4/10

I loved the first film and the 2nd wasnt so bad, but wow this one just took to long to get going and by the time it did get going it was over. This had the potential to be as good as the first 2, but it just took a wrong turn to crapsville.

Is that the one with the weirdo photographer kid?

ha ha ha yep. I really liked teh first one and the 2nd one was ok, and went more for a killer monster sort of vibe, but pt. 3...wow it was a whole lot of nothing until about the last 20 mins and yes that wierdo photography kid, lol.

Blue Steel: 5/10 Average cop movie. The antagonist showed up way too many times and also very randomly.

Confessions of a Super Hero: 6/10

It's a documentary about the street performers in Hollywood that dress up like super heroes and panhandle. It's so sad and depressing and uncomfortable to watch! Interesting, though.

Hobo with a Shotgun - 4/10. Yea, I like the grindhouse concept, but this one had a weird dichotomy that ruined it. 80% of the movie is awful, over the top, goofy acting and camera work, combined with the expected excessive gratuitous violence (but no nudity?), and the other 20% is the fine actor Rutger Hauer delivering some really good moments as the Hobo. Problem is those two things just don't mesh - it has to either be all camp or all serious, the two together just end up making it look like a bad movie.

The Zookeeper - 6/10. I thought I was going to hate this thing, but it's getting harder and harder to get my daughter and son to agree on a movie to go see. They agreed on this one, and it turned out better than I expected. Not high humor by any stretch of the imagination, but some of the animals did have some pretty funny dialog, and they didn't ruin it all with the trailers.

Halloween H20 Blu Ray 8-10 Ive always enjoyed Halloween 78 Halloween 2 and H20... There about the only 3 Halloweens I can watch... I hate where Zombie went with Halloween... 4 and 5 where plain crap as well... Id count H20 as Halloween 3 if that crap Halloween with no Michael had never been made...

So true, people dont understand how awesome that movie is. Such an under rated horror flick all because it got labeled with a "Halloween" title. Its a great stand alone film.

Same rating although I can't decide which one I like better. I was very impressed by this (American) version, that they had the guts to stick to the somber mood of what I guess is the book, instead of "Americanizing" it and making it over the top and "exciting" in the traditional, expected way. It had a great creepy slow pace to it which I really appreciated. And they kept key character moments like seeing the older brother of the bully be a bully to his younger brother (which made you understand why he was such a ____). It didn't add sympathy to the bully, but it made you understand him better. It made me personally dislike him more because he's such an idiot and a coward to transfer his anger on to someone weaker.

One thing I did like a little better about the American version:

I like how the boys were more brutal to Owen in the end, which made it more satisfying when they got their comeuppance.

I'd say both versions are pretty even.

I just watched the foreign version of Let the Right One In. I thought it was a good movie but it was hardly scary at all. i have the new American version waiting to stream on Netflix but haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

The foreign one i would say was 7.5/10 as well.

While I liked the original Swedish version, I think the US remake was done so well I think I like it better...even if it is almost shot for shot the same.
