You ever see one of those VHS/DVD sets where a music artist tries to connect a bunch of their music videos with some lame ass story tacked on that has zero plot and bad acting?

That's pretty much with Sucker Punch is: 4 cool looking music videos with some lame ass story tacked on that has zero plot and bad acting.

You know a movie sucks when you walk away for like 10-15 minutes to do something and when you come back you haven't missed a single plot point or anything important.

I guess. I didn't have a problem with it. Still don't. It's not a good movie by any means. But I like a few of the fight scenes. I have no idea what the ____ it's about, and why Snyder did what he did. He should've just made it stupid fun. Instead of just stupid.

Very entertaining movie. Zoe kicks some serious butt in the movie. The bathroom fighting scene at the end was very welldone.

Blitz 6/10

If you seen any Jason Stratham movie, they are all very similar in choreography / fight scene. Nothing to rave about.

Immortals 9/10

The scene when the gods fought the Titans, that was absolutely the best part of the movie. The style of the movie is pretty much like 300. But even then, it was very enjoyable to watch.

Rocky Balboa 9/10. An absolute delight to the series. I love this film.

Gran Torino 8/10. Fantastic film making with some poor acting. Could've been rated higher otherwise.

I have really enjoyed everything Snyder has done.

I'm a big fan of Dawn of the Dead (Remake), 300 and The Watchmen. And I even thought that animated owl flick was decent. But Sucker Punch.. sweet lord. Trash.

The Thing (2011): 5/10

If this was a stand alone movie it would have been decent, but being a prequel to one of the most badass scifi/horror flicks of all time makes it pale in comparison. The end portion with the credits was easily the best part of the whole thing

Hunger Games: 6/10

Pretty standard movie... might have enjoyed it more if I hadn't read the books. But as it was I didn't feel bored while watching it, but nothing really grabbed me about it either. Personally I'd recommend waiting for a rental.

He tried to take a dumb action movie, and give it depth, and make it thought provoking.

Resident Evil: Afterlife: 7.5/10 I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The previous ones were atrocities in my opinion but this one felt closer to the source material and was rather entertaining. However the Wesker portrayal, and fight was just....ugh, they replicated a lot of moments that worked pretty well but just absolutely killed it in the end.

Been hung over most of the day, so I watched some movies today on HBO.

A-Team - fun, full-on action. Way over-the-top, but its meant to be ridiculous. Really liked Rampage Jackson in it. Fun flick.

Sucker Punch - Holy crap this movie is lame. The only positive is that I found all the chicks pretty hot. But even the action scenes were such a let down. The samurai fights looked so epic in the commercials and they ended up feeling so slapped together with no sense of effort. I would have been pissed had I spent money on this one.

Splice - What the **** did I just watch? Didn't hate the movie....but it was bizarre. There were decent elements to it, but it felt like a cheap film (it seemed like there was only like 6 characters in the whole movie) and the rape/sex scenes were a little disturbing.

I thought the first run of the movie was pretty good too.


I wish it were longer. It had potential to be truly epic in nature.
